For the class system, Is there anyway you can do random weapon loadouts? Because I want my team to have random multiple Classes, like Warrior and Ranger or more? :biggrin.gif:
If class choice GUI is too laggy, do u think random specified loadouts would be? And possibly have like reserved loadouts, like there has to be in a 8 man team, 4 Warriors, 2 Ranger, 2 extra class?
Also, after each battle, can you have the WarZone reset to its former glory? anything that was destroyed, spawned, what have you, is fixed after each battle?

I thing the loadouts/classes is a great idea!
Also, we are making an arena with two castles for each team on each corner and I want to have traps inside the castle. traps using dispensers and arrows. When we reset the zone would the arrows inside the dispenser get reset with the map also?
Same thing goes for chests, say I have a couple chests inside each castle with some supplies, would the items in the chest get reset with the zone??

Thanks! Please take a look at the War issues list. A lot of people have been asking for classes so I added it as a planned feature. I need to find a smart and way to integrate it without adding too much complexity and slowdown to the game. Making them randomized depending on the team size is not a bad idea actually!
You asked about resetting the zones: that's one of the major features of the plugin. :smile.gif: I created my own ghetto Cuboid/WorldGuard for this. All the blocks in the warzone are reset at the end of a battle (when a team's life pool is emptied and one of them dies). After creating a zone, you can change how it looks (add buildings for example) and use "/savezone". That way the new things you added will come back with every reset. You can force a reset with "/nextbattle"(resets the blocks, respawns everyone) or "/resetzone" (also kicks everyone to the lobby and resets the scores).

Chest and dispenser contents don't reset yet. :sad.gif: I only save the block type and it's data (i.e. its orientation), but I don't save complex blocks' contents (signs, chests, etc). It's one of the planned features though, once I catch up on all the work and school stuff I've let pile up. :wink.gif:
Hello! I love your plugin, and i love the idea of it, but i have an issue with the /setconfig and /setteam commands.
Whenever i do /setteam <diamond/gold>, it always says im doing the wrong imput. But i type it exactly character for character: "/setteam diamond" or whichever team. Any suggestions on how to fix?

Many people are pushing for more marketing, etc. Someone is actually planning an event this coming Monday Feb 21. I've got a bunch of warzones setup on my server. More videos is definitely a good idea, I'm just a little short on time, so I need the community's help in organizing large events can that be professionally shot and edited. I don't mind doing some voice-overs, although my accent's a bit funny. :smile.gif:

Yes. Until the 1.3 update everything should be fine. Don't get the very latest craftbukkit though. Versions 335+ are broken for War v0.9.
I also set up a secondary server where everyone can build and everyone has permission to build new warzones: bootcamp.tommytony.com(dynmap). We'll send aspiring War Hub zone makers there to impress us. It's also a great way to try out all the features of the plugin without installing it.

Hi everyone, I released War v1.0 last night. Here are the release notes:
War v1.0 - Eisenhower In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist. We must never let the weight of this combination endanger our liberties or democratic processes.
- Apologies for the delays and the bad timing for this release (with the Minecraft 1.3 update due any day now).
- Added "/setwarconfig buildInZonesOnly:true" to help War-dedicated server setups. If that setting is on, people can only build inside zones, and you have to use the permission node 'war.build' to give build rights outside zones.
- Set respawn loadouts and rewards without having to restart your server: e.g. fill your inventory with the desired items and then call "/setzoneconfig loadout:default" or "/setwarconfig reward:default".
- Players can't drop precious blocks of their team color anymore.
- Fixed outline setting not getting persisted
- Disable a zone while you're working on it with "/setzoneconfig disabled:true". It will be removed from the warhub and its gates will be blocked.
- Fixed broken wall signs.
- Added "/setzoneconfig unbreakable:true" to prevent players from breaking or placing blocks in a zone.
- Fixed client crash when using /team when not on a team
- Fixed client crash on inventory reset when reconnecting
- Fixed broken doors (tricky!)
- The cherry for last: new "/setzoneconfig nocreatures:true" setting. Prevents mobs and animals from spawning in a zone.

Yeah I'd like this to be able to be changed as well. I want users to be able to walk into the warzones and even still interact in them, and when a game starts it either boots them out or just lets them remain until they go through the appropriate portals.

The unstable build for War v1.1 has been available on the Bukkit forums for more than a week now, but I've had many issues trying to nail down bugs that appeared after the MC 1.3 update. Work and university have also been keeping me busy - apologies! I've been running this release (or builds close to it) on my two servers for a week now with a variety of plugins and many different Craftbukkit versions: still, use a Recommended Build for best results.
- Support for Minecraft 1.3 with Craftbukkit Recommended Builds #440 and #493
- Warzones are reset automatically when the last player leaves
- Players can't use any command but War commands (/leave, /warhub, etc.) when on a team playing in a zone
- Can't place flag or spawn blocks anymore, can't pickup more than one precious spawn block.
- Players that sneak out of the zone don't get killed anymore
- Fixed auto-assign join message
- Known issue: when creating/changing a warzone, /resetzone and /savezone might stop working. Wait a few minute or reboot your server and everything will go back to normal by itself. Let me know if you can reproduce this reliably, please - it's been driving me insane.
- Fixed signs that spammed/would not reset/threw exceptions. Warn me if you still see broken signs!

Yes! Use the autoassign flag like this when inside the zone or lobby:
/setzoneconfig autoassign:on
And use this last one if you want all new zones to have autoassign on:
