To run:
1. Unzip PlanetoidMapGenerator to its own folder
2. Run PlanetoidMapGenerator.exe
3. Enter a folder name, a map side in chunks, and whether you want water below or an open sky map
4. Copy the world folder created to either the "world" folder in your Minecraft folder (for SMP) or the
%appdata%\.minecraft\saves folder.
Note: Using an open sky map for multiplayer is a bad idea just now, since if you fall, you just full forever and don't die. Also while I can run open sky maps fine in single player, I've had some performance issues running them as a server.
I did step 3 and then i cant do anything i dont get it!What do you do after step 4?

For some reason when I did everything listed in the first reply to this topic, I try to open it with my Minecraft Client (Windows) but everytime i try to open minecraft ITSELF, it freezes on this screen...
(Sorry but i had to upload a similar image from the internet, i could not post my exact screenshot...)
As you see above is my path to the screenshot, just disregard that...
Hope you find a way to fix this!

Just one question, where do i find the world file, and what do i do when it's done? because for me as soon as it finishes it says something then instantly closes. people keep saying its really cool, but for me, it just doesn't work. i've generated at least 5 worlds, only to have them disappear in a second.
Had some fun on this with a couple of buds, check out the quickly edited version if you are interested!
( by fun I mean pushing my friend off the planets and watching him rage )
Yes, you can get the planetoid maps to work for 1.6
One: Create the map using the Planetoid Map Generator
Two: Click "Edit Profile" on the new Minecraft Launcher. Under "Version Select", you want to run minecraft as release version 1.0
Three: Start Minecraft, and open the Planetoid Map. Wait for the File to Convert, then exit Minecraft.
Four: Switch Minecraft back to it's current version, and play the map. It should work now.

Sebai , the map of my planetoids is not showing up in my single player, do you know how to get this working?
Hey, what’s up? I made a video for this custom map and I'd love for it to be posted on this forum. I really think you’re going to love it, if you do enjoy it, it would be great if you subscribed because I make lots of videos like it.
