When I run the program all it shows is a blank page, and a few images appears when I hover the mousepointer around, but I can't draw anything. I tried both the jar and exe.

Try reading any of my posts on this page, it has to be run with a batch file to make it use java 6, it doesn't work with java 7.

To tell them how to live is to prevent them living.
Yeah, it's not obvious from the OP, but you have to follow a string of Reddit posts until you find this link: http://minecraftstructureplanner.com/ or it's in the OP's sig.
Be sure to read the last few pages here on how to get it running on Java 6, as it won't work on Java 7.

For those interested, I have updated Minecraft Structure Planner to include all of the blocks that have been added to Minecraft since Minecraft Structure Planner's last release (0.99.7). I do not have permission to do this, I did it for personal use but I would like to offer it to those of you who are interested.
Because I don't have permission, I will not be posting any links. If you would like a copy of the new jar, please message me.
Please keep in mind, this version does not fix any bugs, add any features or improve upon the app in anyway. So don't expect anything more than just having blocks added.

I just took the Minecraft Noob test! Check out what I scored. Think you can beat me?!
Thanks Benthos and vader, appreciate the fast response.
i tried the link vader, and it is exactly the same as the one i downloaded before....complete with the failure of pixel art to produce anything other than a blank centre panel. sigh.
It'll be a real shame if it's deader than a dead zombie tho. it was a good idea.
I'll try the google search Bethos, Thanks.
Yeah, I hope someone would revive this.

For those of you having trouble running Minecraft Structure Planner, I feel your pain. My beastly Windows 7 Enterprise machine wouldn't run it. However, I have found a solution.
Load VirtualBox
Create a Windows XP SP3 Virtual Machine
In the new VM, download and install Java 6.54
In the new VM, load Minecraft Structure Planner
Done! And it runs great! For my WinXp VM I have given it 4GB of RAM and disbaled everything I possible could but keep Xp stable. Runs great! I export the MCEdit schematics to a shrared folder then on my Win7 machine run MCEdit.
If you need instructions on VirtualBox, creatng VM's or using them, GOOGLE IT!
I'm actually thinking of reviving this, though I'm going to need a bit of help reworking it to use JMonkey instead of Java 3D since Java 3D is out of date.

File>Import Schematic doesn't seem to work for me. Do you have to do something first?

I kind of doubt it, since the author hasn't been online in over a year and a half.

Edit: Also wish it included more varieties of wood plank. Sticking with oak wood is hard when I want jungle wood floors.

A google search for "minecraft pixel art generator" comes up with some hits.

This program can't be dead. Someone made an unofficial update that adds 1.6's blocks.
Nope, not dead yet. http://www.mediafire.com/download/3yybzyppt6oogkm/MinecraftStructurePlanner.jar
