I wish this app would get updated by someone. This app was so helpful its ridiculous. I used to use this app for every build, especially for planning out the layout of multiple structures in a fixed space. I really miss this thing.

Now the whole world stands on the brink, staring down into bloody hell. All those liberals and intellectuals and smooth talkers - and all of a sudden, nobody can think of anything to say.
Goodness, I may just have to decompile it and update it myself... I don't think the author has been on in months. Not that I'm saying I will, I'm still very busy with other stuff (and I'm not quite sure how the guy would feel about it).

I did this when 1.0 came out.. over half a year ago.. and updated the block list myself... Just can't release without authors permission (and the fact I wasn't suppose to do it anyways.. but the author never seems to update =/ )
Edit: I also only had to edit 2 java files for this to work surprisingly...
Edit 2: Thinking of making a program like this myself... this one has surprisingly gone downhill =/
Edit 3: For all those having trouble with this, try running java in 32bit.
Edit 4: 2 hours of work.. managed to add these blocks:
Into the program
Not likely adding any others.. and still not able to distribute publicly without the authors permission.. however I could probably email/skype it if someone desperately needs it.
To get this working, download java 6 from here http://www.java.com/...d/manual_v6.jsp and install it, you may also want to install java 7 from here http://www.java.com/...load/manual.jsp you can have both at the same time. Make sure to get the version for your operating system. If you're on 64 bit, try also getting the 32 bit.
Download the app from the link in the first page and install it somewhere. You will need to know where, you can put it on your desktop, that will work, might mess up the batch file. It's best to put it in a sub folder on your hard drive, mine's in F:\Minecraft Stuff\Utilities but yours can be anywhere you like.

Save the file and close notepad, then double click the batch file to run it. Worked fine for me.
That was a great idea. It did work for me, but people with windows 7 64 -bit OS should be warned that this program actually needs the Java 6 32 bit to work properly. It needs 6 to draw up the interface correctly and it has to be the 32bit version to render in 3d. My Java 6 32 bit installed into the "Program Files (x86)" directory. I also got the 64 bit version, which installed in the regular "Program Files" folder. So check and see where it installed, because you would have to change the directory in the command line, in you .bat file, accordingly. Such as:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6\bin\java.exe" -jar "C:\MinecraftStructurePlanner.exe"

Interesting, I only have the 64 bit version of java 6 installed (in C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\) and it works fine. I don't think 32 or 64 bit matters, as long as it's java 6. At least that's how it works for me. If the one batch file doesn't work, then use the other one.
Might also depend on your video card / driver, but I don't think so.

It does seem strange, but it tells me that Java 3d isn't installed on the 64 bit version, which is a pretty common problem. They mention this issue in the FAQ on the MSP website. They said that the Java 3D for the 64bit version doesn't reliably install. So I guess you're lucky. Even Java recommends going with 32 bit for better stability. It may also be some settings that I messed around with in the NVIDIA control panel a while back, lol. Either way, it works fine now, so thanks for the help. It'll be the only program I use, that uses Java 6, so this works out beautifully.

Did you install Java 6 64 bit from the link I give above? The "Windows Offline 64 bit" one? I'm just curious. Also, the most recent version of the Nvidia drive might help too. But since you already have it working, it's probably not worth bothering with at this point.

Yeah. I may need to update Nvidia though. I'm really glad to have it running again though, because I still had some builds that I was working on and I really prefer to plan things out ahead of time.

First time posting just to tell you how great you are for this post. I'd been struggling with it for almost an hour! It works great now, can't wait to start building my Hogwarts Castle
I am still having troubles, even after allllll of those tuts. My system just refuses to run a 32 bit java program. I don't know what is going on. I did all of the batch things, and it still says that I can't run 32 bit on my system!! I don't know what to do. Please, if there is SOME WAY of going about this, you would be my hero, and other's too.
Java 6 & 7 in, Java3D installed, batch galore, and nothing. Still get the message saying the I don't have Java3D installed. And I get the weird graphics....
Is this program compatible with Java 7 for Mac OS X. I am thinking it is not. every time I try and view the 3D window it just freezes on me. also the Pixel Art panel dose not work for me. as in I can't do anything with it.

Only thing I can think is to check the path to your Java 6 install, be sure it's the same as the one in the batch file I posted above. If you grabbed the Java 6 32 bit version from here http://www.java.com/en/download/manual_v6.jsp and installed it, then it should be correct.

Java 6 only, I'm afraid, whether you need 32 or 64 bit is undetermined right now, and I have no idea about mac OS.

Download the batch file by TheNM22 from the post above, here's a link http://www.minecraft...0#entry17512006
Move the batch file to the same folder you moved the EXE to and open the batch file in notepad. It contains this line
As long as the EXE and the batch file are in the same folder, you don't need to worry about the path in the second part, so edit it to read this:
Save the file and close notepad, then double click the batch file to run it. Worked fine for me.

Read my post directly above yours. You have to use java 6, that's what the batch file is for. If you don't still have java 6, you need to install it.
