I was wondering, does the block finder also find dropped items? I died far away from my spawn point and base recently and I have been looking for the dropped blocks and most of them i need really badly! Also, do dropped items disappear over time or if you log out? Lastly, a good suggestion would be to put the blocks on the block finder in alphabetical order.

Dropped blocks go away after 3-7 minutes.

Donkey Kong, I'm getting what I'm assuming is the flashing screen bug you mentioned only with one of my worlds. Basically when panning around the white 'frames' keep flashing randomly. I'm using version 1.3.2.
All these bugs are artifacts of the way I implemented orientation without moving the camera (in a really sloppy way). So I ripped all that code out of the development version and I'm rewriting it completely. It shouldn't happen with the Southeast Up view (but maybe it will, it was really sloppy coding on my part).
In addition to fixing that, I've got player locations, an info panel with location and chunk location, and a distance calculator. I can also display the level's random seed. Don't know what use that is to you but I might as well. And a fix for the program freezing if you try to update biome data without selecting Use Biome Colors first.

Sounds sweet.

I love this program SOOO much. Multi touch controls, automatic updates, everything i could possibly want from a mapping program. Hopefully you make more awesome tools. Keep it up!
Is there any way to transform a colors.txt file from MCMap Live back into a .png? Please reply and tell me!
colors.txt just contains a single color for each texture. It's possible to recolor an existing texture pack using one, but it's not a priority feature.
Development has all but stopped until maybe mid-February. I have too much stuff going on. If I screw it up, I screw up the rest of my life. Can't have that.
Hey, I think I might be having posting issues, so if this posts twice I apologize.
I'm wondering if I need to do something special to be able to download the MCMap Live file. Every time I click the link I get an address to a dropbox and this is what firefox (and my other browsers) tells me.
Firefox can't find the server at dl.dropbox.com.
Is there something else I need first in order to download it? Thanks! I died and cannot find my house for the life of me (and my map is now 7MB larger after I searched for it!!)
I don't know what to tell you. Dropbox is up and running. I just checked the link in the first post and everything is fine. Try again? Check with your ISP and make sure dropbox isn't blocked?

The Dropbox link should work, not sure what the problem is on your end. But I've reuploaded it here for you, see if that works. (Hopefully you don't mind DonkeyKong?)

That worked perfectly. I was trying to get it off my campus's connection and they were having issues with their servers today. Thanks for the other link BTW. And to DonkeyKong, thank you much, this is absolutely amazing!
Just wanted to say that this program is awesome! And although Minecraft doesn't, MCMap Live works quite well on a dual 1GHz G4 PowerMac from 2002, which in itself is quite impressive :smile.gif:

It was originally a dump of the JohnSmith texture pack but it's been tweaked a lot.

This is the only program i have seen so far that have great quality, many features, and all around greatness.
I don't understand why you could port it to PC but if you are against the idea, than i'll have to move on :sad.gif:
Love it!!
