Not sure if someone else already reported this, but I //set a 4x5x1 cuboid to block 79 (ice) and then without selecting another cuboid (i.e. using the same one) I tried to //set the same cuboid to block 54 (chest). It didn't do anything and gave me the following error:
...
One block of ice melted into water so I //set 54 again. It gave me the same error and didn't change the ice blocks but changed the water block. Just thought I'd give you this bug report.
That is odd. I will poke around.

hey sk89q, great mod my buddies and I are having a blast building castles now! One thing I hope you can help me out with is using tnt. I'd love to make tnt walls going through a mountain, or a tnt cylinder going from the bottom of a mineshaft to the top... As it is now, block 46 is disabled, how can I enable it?
Edit worldedit.properties.

Great mod!
I have one request though: Could you make it possible to load external .schmatics?
Loving this, especially the random function! I have a strange request, I would love to be able to set the position of the cuboid in the command directly, I say this because I have a few auto run areas on my server, and running a script that could set position and change that part out would be so usefull :smile.gif:
I am thinking something like
//pos1 64,128,53
//pos2 65,128,53
//set 1
(all text lets a bot do certain things without too much code)
Highlight: WorldEdit block throughput with //set is now 220,000 blocks/second (it was... 12,000/second, all because of the history code). Disabling history (not yet possible) increases throughput to 270,000 blocks/sec.
[*:1h8h21cs]Switched usage of HashMaps to double ArrayLists in the history code, increasing the speed of all commands by up to 20x.
[*:1h8h21cs]The data values of blocks that don't use them won't be set anymore, decreasing the packet spam generated. (This is the reason that you gradually saw regions get set, row by row. You will no longer see this.)
[*:1h8h21cs]Added //fillr that recursively fills (it's //fill except it will fill nooks and crannies).
[*:1h8h21cs]Fixed /unstuck lifting you when you weren't stuck.
[*:1h8h21cs]Added a filename character whitelist to schematic saving/loading routines. (regex: ^[A-Za-z0-9_\[*:1h8h21cs]\./\\'\$@~!%\^\*\(\)\[\]\+\{\},\?]+$)
[*:1h8h21cs]Expanded the character whitelist for snapshot names (to the same as the one for schematic saving/loading).
[*:1h8h21cs].schematics now save original copy offset.
[*:1h8h21cs]Added //count that counts the number of blocks in a region.
[*:1h8h21cs]Added //distr that prints the distribution of blocks in a region.
[*:1h8h21cs]Added /butcher to kill all/nearby mobs.
[*:1h8h21cs]Added mob killing to the super pickaxe.
[*:1h8h21cs]Chests are now cleared when they are deleted so that they no longer drop their contents.
[*:1h8h21cs]You can change the wand item now. See the configuration file.
[*:1h8h21cs]Improved the "bad backup" a message a bit.
[*:1h8h21cs]//replace and //fill support 'patterns' now (allows you to use the random block % stuff).
Butcher command is not working not showing up as a command we use admin command to give rights to groups who can use worldedit currently only moderators and Admins can do so so we dont need to give out indvidual commands.
I want to give you a fist bump for your continuing work on this project, and also a heads-up on the new export format in MCEdit. It's just an Alpha world (with invalid lighting) inside a zip file, with an extra file 'schematic.dat' giving its actual width, length, and height. I'm using it for exports larger than a certain size (currently 16Mblocks). You don't have to act on it, just something to be aware of.

i was wondering(not sure if it has been suggested before) if we could have an command that flips what we have in the clipboard upside down(but not just a 180 but actually mirrored upside down)
im not sure if it would be a lot to do or anything but it would certainly be nice to be able to mirror stuff upside down with the flip of a command :smile.gif:

It's on the to-do list.
thank you thank you very much :biggrin.gif: cant wait as then i will be able to make my mirror world :smile.gif:
I have tried reading through all the commands and updates, all the options boggle my mind. Kudos for your brilliance.
I have a "is this possible" question:
We recently moved servers (from a friends desktop to an actual hosting company). Moving the entire world would be nice, but not needed. We mainly want to copy over some structures ... 3 or 4 would be sufficient. Would it be possible to copy a building on one server, and paste into another (assuming both were running WE)?

Yes. Select the base of the building, and then use //expand [heightofbuilding] up to make it take up the entire building (this is the easiest way to select the entire building). Find a place to stand so that when you paste it it will paste relative to that point, and then do //copy and //save [filename]. On the new map, //load [filename], stand in the spot that you want, and //paste!

I added in Grum's terrain smoother! He wrote all the code so thank him. There's still some work to be done regarding trees and non-terrain blocks though, as they will not be leveled with the terrain.
[*:3h47l3h4]Added Grum's //smooth command to smooth terrain. Select the entire area and use //smooth on it, perhaps specifying a number of iterations, with a larger number of iterations meaning a smoother terrain. Trees and other blocks like fences currently do not drop.
[*:3h47l3h4]Fixed output messages for //pos2 and //hpos2 when used.
[*:3h47l3h4]Updated for server version 0.2.5.
That is odd. I will poke around.
Edit worldedit.properties.
I will consider that.
I will add that.

write error
java.lang.verifyerror:9class:ServerInterface,method:generateTree signature
im delete runecraft
still does not work
(And was there a server update or anything since the minecart one? I haven't been paying attention.)
Check out my Minecraft server.
None as far as I know.

I have a question about forestgen
/forestgen 20 50
What does the 50 mean? I know it's density... but what EXACTLY do you mean...
0-100 indicates the range between 0-100%.
If you want a sparse forest, values below 1 work best.
worldedit-restrictions.txt is what you want.

Yes, perhaps in the future.
