wow this app is amazing :biggrin.gif: thank you so much! two things....
first off.. i don't think the sponges are working... there not sucking up water
Second off, can you somehow get the rainbow bricks from classic mode? that would be awesome! other than that flawless job!
Sponges don't work properly in Alpha (yet?). I don't think you can even get them without an inventory editor.
I would be happy to add the different colored bricks but they aren't in Alpha at all to my knowledge.

I just updated straight from 0.2 to 0.5 and it's a huge improvement.
I have a couple requests though. It would be nice if you made the item list fill the full vertical height of the window. Right now it doesn't use all the available space and forces way more scrolling than is necessary. Also, adding buttons to automatically add 64 of a selection of the most common items (stone, glass, torch, etc.) would help speed up adding items.
Both requests sound good to me.
Please make a list of items you would like buttons for. This goes out to everyone. There's a lot of room and I can use the feedback to help prioritize ordering based on demand.
Great app! I have some usability suggestions, I hope you don't mind.
- App starts - 5 buttons on left (World 1, World 2, etc.). First valid World file is pre-selected. For example, I have no 1, 2, or 3 but I have a 4 and 5. Therefore, pre-select 4.
- App starts, world is pre-selected. Auto-select "QuickBar 1" in the table.
- Remove the "New Item" button completely and just always show the item selection. If I'm clicking an empty Inventory slot, 99.99999% of the time I want to add a new item and repeatedly clicking New Item is redundant :smile.gif:
If the user has no available World Saves, then popup or display a message similar to "Try playing the game and creating a world, then open InvGrid". Give options to Retry or Quit.
===
And a feature request:
- Perhaps prevent the ability to change count or click 64 on non-stackable items.
Please help! whenever I try to open my inventor this error shows up.

Suggestion 1 and 2 are reasonable but I don't want to commit until I finish some of the other things I've agreed to do. 3 would be really annoying to use in my opinion. I can meet half way and make it so double clicking an empty slot would create a new item?
Even though the game doesn't normally allow certain items to be stackable, it can sometimes be useful. For example, I like to create lots of buckets of lava.

I got it on the [Sticked] Guides and Resources ( viewtopic.php?f=25&t=44768 ) this should attract more traffic.
Great, thanks!

Any chance of a x64 bit .deb please , pretty please ?.
Okay, because you said "pretty please," here you go. :smile.gif:
Looking forward to a post-Boo update. :smile.gif: It's nice that InvGrid will let you change quantities of Boo items, though of course you can't add them from scratch without their having a name entry.
Any chance of being able to edit Mob Spawners in the future?
Not unless Minecraft allows it. Mob spawners in inventories do not have any special properties to be edited.

I've already added the items. I just need to do some more testing. :smile.gif: Expect it later today!

I can do everything but when I look in inventory the stuff I made isn't there. HELP!
Did you go to File->Save in InvGrid before you opened your world in Minecraft?

I downloaded it but when i open it nothing happens. Please help
I'm going to need a little more information to go on. Did InvGrid not start? Were you not able to install InvGrid? What operating system are you using?
i try installing it on my 64bit ubuntu 10.10. i download the right file and everything goes fine.
but when i try and run it from the applications menu, it doesnt work.
It says "Starting InvGrid" then goes away :sad.gif: How do i fix??
Sounds like a dependency is missing. Can you run it in a terminal and copy & paste the output here?
To run InvGrid in a terminal on Ubuntu
1. Press Alt+F2, a little Run window will pop-up
2. Enter gnome-terminal and hit enter, a console will pop-up
3. Type InvGrid into the console and hit enter. Note, it's case sensitive!
The new version with support for the Halloween items is out! There isn't a lot of changes this release because I wanted to make the new items available as soon as possible. As usual, check out the top post for download links and change details.

Thank you! (Still in need of modding time of day though... )
Any chance there will be a feature to make an item unlimited like I have been seeing some places? I think you need to make the count be 252, but your Invgrid only goes up to 99. :sad.gif:

There is no way for an inventory editor to make an item unlimited. You can make it as high as 255 though. InvGrid let's you set any item count to 255, I'm not sure why you say it is limited to 99.

- Missing Red Mossy Cobblestone
- You need to rename some of the new items:
Brittle Gold to Lightstone
Brittle Gold Dust to Lightstone Dust
Glowing Pumpkin to Jack-O-Lantern
Red Mossy Cobblestone to Bloodstone
Thank you! (Still in need of modding time of day though... )
Yes, sorry! 10.5, 10.6 OS X versions only.
Sure, I'll accept patches. Try to match the same coding style or I'll modify it before making any commits.
Thanks for the feedback! I fixed all of these issues and released version 0.6.1.
Modifying time of day is still coming but it probably won't be this weekend.
NOTICE
Please update to 0.6.1. I fixed some bugs regarding the new items as reported by Bigmacbook.
