Thanks.. there was a bug that prevented the 1.8 blocks from showing up. Just released 1.2.2 which fixes that. Can't
really do much about the lag right now.
Great job there, pal. Love Minutor. It would be very neat if you added a few things to it, if I might:
- Simple way to toggle blocks on/off (checkbox);
- Option to turn on/off ALL the blocks;
ok total noob question here.... how do I make color scheme work? and what does it do? can I make certain blocks standout (i.e bookshelves in the strongholds) anyways if this has already been answered I apologize, I just don't have time to read 20 pages :tongue.gif: thanks :smile.gif: btw I really really like this program, MCEdit was wayyyy to complicated and cartographer didn't work. this program is very helpful.
Thanks for making this wonderful mapping program! But I was just wondering, where does it save the Colour Schemes? I looked in the usual places(Appdata, documents) but I couldn't see them.

Hi there; I use Fedora 14 and I can't get this to compile. When I run make this is the output I get:
[root@JamesPC minutor]# make
cd MinutorMap && make

make[1]: `MinutorMap.a' is up to date.

gcc -Wl,--as-needed -o minutor minutor.o mapviewer.o colorschemes.o `pkg-config --libs gtk+-2.0` MinutorMap/MinutorMap.a

/usr/bin/ld: note: 'gzclose' is defined in DSO /lib64/libz.so.1 so try adding it to the linker command line

Any ideas what's going wrong?
Yeah, usually gtk provides libz, but apparently in your case, it doesn't. Edit Makefile, and change the line that says:

Depends on the OS. On OSX it's in ~/Library/Preferences/minutor.plist
On Windows it's stored in the Registry
On Linux it's stored in ~/.minutor
I noticed a bug in the Windows OS version:
Huge Brown mushrooms render as Huge Red mushrooms, and Huge Red mushrooms don't render at all.
I accidentally reversed the block ids. Also the brown mushroom color is nearly indistinguishable from dirt, so I darkened it to make it more visible. I also added the known 1.9 blocks. I'll push out new versions this evening.
I would honestly kill for the ability to have this thing push out a full map so I wouldn't have to Print-Screen/Paste every single section of my world every time I wanted to update the map.
Not that it might not be a useful feature for Minutor as well, but note that there are plenty of mapping programs that do just that. You could start here, probably: http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Editors#Mappers
Notch broke everything! Well, not really. Or really? The old!East used by Minutor is now North! the old!North is now West! And the sun rises in the old!South, which is now East! Clearly I must go old!West, which is now, south as all young men are wont to do. Will arbitrary rotation be added to Minutor, or will future versions simply reflect the new orientation, or perhaps have a toggle for it?

I think when 1.9 officially comes out, I'll just change the orientation. Ironic because the very first version of Minutor had the orientation the same as how Notch has it now.

Heh, yeah, X-Ray was originally oriented like that, as well. There must have been something in the code decompilation which had led folks to code it that way, and only later on we all decided to shoehorn it into Earth's cardinal directions.

It was the X/Y/Z coordinates. Since Y is up/down, it only made sense to have X be east/west and Z north/south... but then people complained because of the sun movement made Z be east/west, and X north/south... so we all changed it. Notch instead just changed the sun :smile.gif:

After doing the above, it still won't compile. Here's the new output of Make:
Is there something else I need to do?
I don't know either.. I re-installed gcc and libgcc; it's still a no-go.
That did it; works like a champ!
Thanks!

Ah, ok.
Stupid windows.
/me starts searching his registry.
