Hey C4C3. I wish I could use it on a Mac :sad.gif:
...You can, I've used it quite a few times today to add trees and delete chunks on my macbook.
Oh sweet, let me try. Do I need anything special to run it? or just the file?

Also Nazarel, did you make a backup? If not PM me and I'll see if I can fix it for you.
Did you just generate trees or did you do something weird with program like copy a chunk, delete that chunk, then try to paste the deleted chunk (I thought that worked atleast.)
I can't seem to make this load a very large world (150MB.) It goes through the motions, shows me the loading status bar, but after a few minutes it says "Loaded Map" but it doesn't show up. Whatever was on the display last remains (title screen, last world) and I can't seem to interact with anything in the display area.
Is there any way you could look into this? I would love to be able to delete parts of this large world file as I believe it is causing other problems. I can give you a copy of the world file if that would help.
Make sure your java is up to date. What version of OS X are you running?
Tiger. 10.4
Thats probably the problem, I think Tiger is only updated to Java 1.4 whereas Leopard and Snow Leopard use SE 6. You'll need to google for a manual update for a newer version of java for Tiger.
Love it! But for whatever reason, when I load up a map I've added trees to in minecraft, it shows me the starting location and I can see the trees...but it's locked up. If I wait about 20 seconds it just goes to a black screen.

It's java 1.56 and the java site just says to do a software update for a newer version but I have the latest updates.
@visceral monkey
I'll look into seeing if I can duplicate the problem and try to fix that. I hope your made a back up of your map.
I think I've had an issue like yours before and the problem was running my graphics on fancy and Minecraft not being able to handle all of the leaves. So try setting your graphics to fast and not as far then maybe that will work.
@caesar bear
I remember having that bug a little while ago but I thought I fixed it. Just try resizing the window and that was a makeshift fix when I first found that bug.
Edit: It could also be Java running out of available memory or it's just taking a long time to paint your map.
@tboneice
Yeah... your Java is out of date. Current version is 1.6 r21 so that's probably the issue.

I've had that happen to me once. But only when I placed a lot of trees, I'm pretty sure it's because the lighting is trying to recalculate and causing Java to run out of memory. Just do fewer trees at a time.
Haha, I really should quick add a new seed generator so you don't get the same land shouldn't I... So far it will probably just regenerate the land you had before.
If you do that, you'll get ragged edges and giant cliffs at the edge, where chunks were deleted and recreated with a different seed. I think it's better to leave the old seed as is.
Besides, he's getting new terrain anyway because he removed terrain from an older version of Minecraft.
Well yeah, with a heck of a lot of trees you'll need to use more resources to render the light. It's best if you have graphics on fast or make a scarce forest.

I'm getting brand new land with the current generator, caves and all. I could have made my deletion more selective, but this is okay.
Every time I try to add trees to my map, it black-screen crashes. Any way around this?
I've tried the fast graphics and tiny render distance... no luck yet.
I really love the look of the trees in the screenshots.

@Amikron
Sorry this is a little late however my host was having a bit of down time. It should be up now.

I've got graphics on fast, but am I to assume it's normal to get a lot of lag still?
