Minecraft’s overworld, a place of solitude, peace, and reflection, the savannas, jungles, swamps, mountains, deserts, mesas, you’d most likely have the place to yourself- that, it was like that. Welcome to Simply Wildlife! This mod aims to add an array of wild animals to the overworld, some peaceful, some aggressive, it will require the best survivors in your world. While this mod focuses on animals, I also plan to add a couple of new plants and trees to enhance the experience even more, and to add new wood types of course! The greatest survivors will also need convenient utilities, that’s why I plan to add some new features that will help you on your journey!
We will add carefully modeled animals that will overall enhance the ambience and challenges of Minecraft’s overworld. If you don’t like straying too much from the vanilla style, this mods gotcha covered. To balance out the realism, I plan to give the animals a not-so-sophisticated way of moving around, no fancy animations or complex taming and breeding. Just animals? No. Expect new plants such as prickly pears and giant lily and trees such as palm, baobab and mangrove! A few new features and items will be added, such as boat chests and sleeping bags!

A more detailed note for possible coders, again, I am in much need of one, and a basic or novice java coder is more than great for me. Also a note for what type of features and mechanics you can expect. First of all, all animals except a few will be fully terrestrial, climbing will not be implemented nor will flying until a latter decision is made. The other non-fully terrestrial animals are either fully aquatic or semi-aquatic. We have two planned fully aquatic animals, and 2-5 semi aquatic animals. For fully terrestrial animals, they will not have complex or sophisticated movements, think of how vanilla horses walk/run. Feeding will be vanilla feeding, meaning the player holds up the food, and they come near you. Breeding is vanilla style, feed both animals, and a baby is produced. Some animals will have attacking mechanics. I plan for them to just to look up and start dealing damage to the player, that’s it.
I have finally decided how the animals will be released. I plan on just having one mod, with everything in it. But each addition update will have up to 8 animals per. The release will also add the survival features. I have also decided to add the plants in a future update.
