Craft and Hunt is a mod that is all about hunting the mobs of Minecraft, crafting gear from them, and then repeating the cycle. Most armor and tools this mod adds hover between Stone to Iron in terms of durability, defense, and attack but all come with special effects if you have a full set on. They also all have higher enchantability then metal armors (other than gold).
Note: Vanilla durability are the following; 5 for leather, 7 for gold, 15 for iron, 33 for diamond, and 25 for turtle

Poison Spider Chitin made by putting a Spider Chitin, Spider Eye, and Rotten Flesh in a crafting table.
Fermented Spider Chitin made by putting a Spider Chitin, Brown mushroom, and sugar in a crafting table.
Two versions exist. Both are interchangeable. Panda Bear Armor and Polar Bear Armor.

Tools Will Light stuff on Fire when you strike stuff with them.
Wither Armor and Tools
Made from the Super rare Wither skulls. As such the tools and armor also sport a Rarity of Uncommon
20 Defense, 2 toughness. Equal to that of Diamond armor for this rare tools and armor!
Armor Durability: 15, Tool Durability: 330
Grants Fire Resistance and Undead Stench when fully worn
Made From Phantom Membrane
Armor Durability: 18
Grants Slow fall and Jump boost when fully worn
Made from Shulker shells
20 Defense! but no toughness
Armor Value: 30
Grants Slow Fall and Resistance when fully worn
Made from Wolf hide
Armor Durability: 5
Grants you Pack Leader. Pack leader gives Strength 1 to players with in 15 blocks of you.
Made from Guardian Skin
Armor Value: 20
Gives you a passive thorns effect that does not damage the armor when fully worn, dealing 2 damage to attackers.
Elder Guardian Armor
Made from combining three Elder Guardian Skins with a piece of Guardian armor
Armor Value: 25
Grants you the thorns effect like Guardian armor when fully worn.
Also grants you Elder's blessing. Which causes all entities with in 15 blocks of you to be slowed.
Made from Bee Chitin. Currently only found through the wandering hunter.
Armor Value: 9
Grants Poison resistance when fully worn, making you immune to MOST poison effects, not all.
Grants Bug Pharamones when fully worn, making you invisible to mobs typed as anthropoid.
Made from Shark skin, currently only found through the wandering hunter.
Armor Value: 7
Grants Dolphin's Grace when fully worn.
Grants Strength 2 when in Water.

Grants you Withering Strike, making stuff you strike with it equipped wither.

Grants you Flaming Strike, making stuff you strike catch on fire.

Grants you Poison Strike, making stuff you strike be poisoned.
Drops from Evokers
Grants you magic strike, making your strikes deal two extra damage that bypasses defense.
Gloomy Ink Sack
Drops from squids
Grants you Inky Defense, making things that strike you loose sight of you if they strike you.
Mystical Fox tail
Note: this effect is very hard coded. If an entity isn't on the loot table, It drops a sweet berry.
25% chance at success to steal an Item, increased by player's current luck stat and looting enchant.
Drops from Foxes
Grants you thieving, which causes mobs you strike to some times drop an item.
Craftable with Iron, redstone, and a potato
Attracts items up to 15 blocks away to you.
New Crafting Recipes!
Any item tagged as "Stone" may now be used to craft "Stone" tools.
Bone + Magma Cream = Torch
Using a stick on a campfire will turn it into a torch
Melt bone items into bone ash. Use bone ash + a water bottle to get a Slime bottle. Slime bottles can be used as slime balls in crafting recipes.

Yea, the textures would be 16x16. I would like to relatively stick with vanilla Minecraft's aesthetic. At least for items. For armor I don't mind being creative and breaking the vanilla armor look to make it look more like the creature.
-Mystical Fox tail: Off hand item dropped rarely from foxes. Grants Thieving.
-Gloomy Ink Sack: Off hand item dropped rarely from squids. Grants Inky Defense.
-Thieving: Has a chance to cause a mob to drop an item while this buff is active. If it can't find the mob in it's loot table, it will cause a sweet berry to drop.
-Inky Defense: Causes blindness for 10 seconds to other players who attack you. Causes Entity blindness for 10 seconds to Entities who attack you (entity blindness will cause that entity to not target you for 10 seconds).

Looks good! Question: Can you make a brown bear and a black bear leather item? So I can have them in the files, so even thought they are cross mod items, errors won't happen if you play without the other mod.
-A Hunter in the style of the wandering merchant will show up. He acts a little differently than the wandering merchant. He will drink potions to try to not die if his health gets under half as well as stuff like fire resist, water breathing, ect. He will trade you items that will not drop from vanilla mobs such as black bear leather, brown bear leather, shark skin, vampire's fang, and more.
--Crafted with 8 iron bars and a trip wire hook. The trip wire hook needs to be in the center
--Can be triggered by mobs, items, arrows, ect.
--When triggered by mobs, will try to apply slowness 6 on them for 10 minutes. If they are too large, the trap will instead break.
--Right click a closed trap to reopen it.
--Crafted with 8 bones and a flint. It's a shapeless so the order doesn't matter.
--Harmless when walked through
--Deals 20 damage if something falls onto them.
--Doesn't destroy items.
--Destroyed by large mobs.
--Can NOT be reharvested.
--Lots of config stuff for the armor, tools, and drop chances. Tweak it how you like it!
