Hello and welcome to the Star Wars Mod. This mod takes elements from the Star Wars universe, and directly puts them in Minecraft.
The Star Wars mod will be mostly used for role playing, survival, and multiplayer. In fact, multiplayer is recommended so much, that the entire mod was originally going to be called "The Star Wars Battlefront Mod."Even though the mod is meant for multiplayer, we will still support single player, and encourage it with quests and such. The mod adds many elements, and here are a basic few:

+Vehicles(Land and Space)
+Generated Structures
+Towns with a fully functioning economy
+New planets, dimensions, and more

Hey guys. I've been tinkering around for a little while before the mod goes into a nose-dive right into development, and I've realized that I'll need a lot of stuff to make everyone happy about 1.0. Like, a LOT of stuff. One of the more general things I need is lightsabers. Being a busy guy, I don't have time to model and texture 40 lightsabers, so I need your help. You guys can create lightsabers from popular jedi or you can create your own, it's up to you. Please ask before you create a canon one, because I may have someone already doing it.
So here are a few options for you.

If you are interested, please PM me before modeling, so you don't end up doing what some other guy has already finished.If you would, please keep the blade as a 1x1x24 pixel measurement so they don't look strange. Keep in mind that custom lightsabers will be in a separate creative tab in the final version of the mod, and cannot be built in survival. I will ask for more stuff in the future but this is it for now. Any model will help us out. Thanks!

Is this based on the good battlefront series or the most recent one?
It depends on which server you're on. I do discourage using the modes the new(DICE) one has to offer. The official server(<--spoiler lol) will have modes and battles similar to the likes of which Star Wars Battlefront: 2(Pandemic) had.

Wow! this mod sure seems like a good alternative to the PSWM mod!
Where do you sign up to do the alpha testing?
We send it out on the discord so I don't have to update the forum over and over again if there's a bug. If you don't have a discord account, start a PM with me and I will get it to you.
1.11.2 for now, but if you followed the Discord Server, then you'd know that there's also a 1.7.10 "legacy" version in the works. I'm only saying this to promote it, because we'd love to have you and everyone we can find to be in it.
