Highway Maker is a command block mod for Minecraft. It is designed to integrate into your vanilla Minecraft gaming experience and as such, no additional texture or resource pack is required.
The mod allows the user to create high speed highways between distant locations in their Minecraft world. This could come in handy with MC worlds now having more and more rare, pre-generated structures. Once installed, it is designed for use in a survival mode world.
It is installed starting with a single command. This installs a setup booth in the game, from which the other four components can be installed.
Please note that I made this mod some time ago partly to help me learn about command block programming and recently updated it for MC v1.11. It started its life as a feature on a Realms world so there shouldn't be any problems running it in multiplayer.
While I've found that it works pretty well with very few glitches, it isn't particularly well optimised and the installer is quite slow. My old i5 MacBook Air seems to cope pretty well though.
The highways come with quite a few bells and whistles such as speed and regen effects. Feel free to comment if you think they mess up the gameplay balance.
The mod can be downloaded here. There are no ads and the website is on a hosting service with a secure password so it should be pretty safe for your browser:
