ok, thanks for the answer. if I get my modelling program working again, I could try to make a model or two in the future if you need it.
Edit: just a suggestion, you could add the fusion suit, and make it craftable using some sort of drops from metroids or something. it could be nice as you would then have all the suits.
spiderball WILL NOT use the same system as starmine mod - that mod accomplishes it's gravity through ASM editing that I'd rather avoid in order to keep this mod as compatible as possible.
Gravity boost IS coming.
Speed booster isn't even in yet - once it is, you will need to sprint for a couple of seconds to activate it.
Just to let you guys know, Preview 2 might be a bit delayed due to issues with the new Invisible Platform/ Hidden Passage block systems - I'll be reverting to a more stable, but less block-supporting, version if I can't get this to work. Look forward to a better system than before either way!
i have a question that may have already been answered. but... the power suits look kinda strange with how they are simply skins over the players skin. will there (eventually) be 3-d modelling for the armor to look more like how it is in the games?
If I can get someone to make textures, and someone to make the models, then yes. Unfortunately, there seems to be an extreme shortage of available helpers.

well I was working on a varia suit model in tabula but atm there's alot of family matters going on and I haven't been able to work much on it but when stuff calms and if we still don't have a suit modeller I'll step up
I'm gonna do a metroid model, as it should be relatively simple to make a model that looks nice in Tabula... But I don't know how to do animations at all even after looking into it...
That's a tough one. On one hand, the prime models have that nostalgia. On the other, Other M was said to have amazing graphics. Overall, I'd say Prime, since the Samus in Other M was also criticised for being too small.

other m did have good graphics my only issue with the powersuit there is its a very ugly greenish yellow but they revamped the design in the new smash bros which they retain samus's usual height and varia orange but the suit is also very slender you'd know there's a woman in the armor. my only gripe with prime 1 in particular is the arm cannon's massive. I'll get my varia suit finished up and let you see it see what you think

also one final thing all I need to do is get you the textured model and you can take it from there? i'm not too confident in my animating ability yet if needed. would the armor need to be animated?
If you mean a better HUD for each individual visor, go ahead. Just be sure the beam/visor selection areas match up between all of them and the original.

no animation is needed - just be sure to label each of the body peices if possible (left leg, head, body, ect.)

alright then I will try to have something for you soon probably in the next 2 days if I'm uninterrupted heres some beautiful irony too the biggest interruption i may get is the urge to finish my current metroid prime playthrough

i put in an all nighter for this i wish i couldve done more and the shoulders look a bit wonky I also used and edited the varia texture from the inmod armor but here it is i'm going to touch i up a bit more in the morning
Not sure if you guys would want this, since it's of similar resolution to the Arm Cannon model I made ages ago. (Not to mention I'll probably never make anything else for the mod, so nothing else would match the style. :P)
But, at any rate, that's my take on the Varia suit. Decided to spend one of my days off fidgeting with it. Turns out, there's a pretty good reference sheet out there for an action figure that never got developed.
Also Akuma, I'd love to see you make something original, so you don't have any preexisting assets to work around. I've found that having an already existing asset tends to cloud your own abilities, and skews your creation to look more like the original than you intended. Preconceptions of what it should look like and whatnot. So if you make something like the Metroid model, I get the feeling you've got a massive pool of talent that'll show itself pretty quickly. I look forward to seeing your work!

looks good - if I could have the model, I could add it as an optional, alternate varia suit model, as well as something for animations and stuff that people might make.

jesus thats a model and a half and thanks for the kind words atm I'm still trying to learn the ins and outs of modelling I was a skin maker a while back so I have a little experience going into this but I think i got a while before I can approach that masterpiece i mean jeeze its so spot on I love it I wanted to ask as well if you use tabula and if so is there anyway to give the texture map more room to work with?
I plan to add all the creatures from the prime trilogy. As for creatures/items from the 2D games, I am uncertain.

After testing around with this mod for a while, I have some ideas. (just wanted to throw them out)
- Spiderball and magnetic tracks( the starmine mod has an example of this)
- Gravity Boost item?
- The speed booster should have a little charge up time before activating ( and maybe minor visual effects)
- I feel the energy tank count should be brought up a littleThis mod is doing great, keep it up! =D
