Hey just thought of another boss that could be cool... if anyone has ever heard of Dota 2, there is a hero called "pudge"-the butcher, who throws hooks at people to drag them in then dismember them... that sounds fun in minecraft xD... dodging the hooks and wotnot

A new status effect never before seen in Minecraft!
Knockdown!
Currently just the status effect exists. Since the shade howler doesn't have animations yet, I made it so the blue fire causes the status effect for testing.
Notice how the players camera is forced to 3rd person and then flips back to first person after the effect wears off.The players camera is also forced towards the Shade Howler
This will ultimately be cause by a tackle attack from the shade howler.
The Shade Howler will pin the player and BITE THEM IN THE FACE WHILE THEY WATCH HELPLESSLY! AHAHA *ahehm*
Finished the knockdown effect to work on servers with spectators and with armor. That may seem like obvious things, but belive me it was harder than it sounds. Essentialy when the knockdown affect is applied the player renderer has to be cancled and a custom renderer and player model must then be applied.
The knockdown forces the player into 3rd person mode so they can witness the carnage. It also locks the player camera on the enemy that caused the knockdown. The player will barely be able to move while knocked down.
The Shade Howler will pin the player and BITE THEM IN THE FACE WHILE THEY WATCH HELPLESSLY! AHAHA *ahehm*

And , i think 1.8 version is a bit bad version , not a lot of mods in , you may update this mod in 1.10.2 ! :3

Nice job...this looks fantastic and scary. First time this runs out of the dark and jumps a player will be a good day. Please say your target is 1.10.2 and not 1.89...which is pretty much dead in the water for most modders.
Honestly the Shade Howler gives little warning when attacking, making it more annoying than cool and innovative, I know this is probably in very early stages, but eh.
I do have to agree with ScorpionXR64 on that the Shade Howler (as well as other bosses I have noticed) don't give a lot of room to dodge or predict attacks. But nonetheless still awesome.

I was honestly talking about the howl move as the shade howler takes about half a second to use the attack, leading to players having no time to respond. EDIT: and also.. what if maybe... and this could be a bit much as this is more of a boss mod than a player animation mod.. you were to add a "dodge" move.. where a player quickly moves in one direction... therefore making the boss fights a lot more immersive... as I'm not a modder myself... I understand I may be asking a bit much haha.. spamming this could be avoided through use of either a cooldown on the action or a stamina type bar that replenishes over time... idk

Wow! Incredible mod! The mobs really feel unique and purposeful! Not to mention awesome AI and animations.
