HellForge is, or rather will be, a Mod that adds Heaven, Hell and Purgatory as travel-able dimensions. This will be a very comprehensive mod that adds dimensions, blocks, items, mobs, bosses, tool and armor sets, etc. to the game. Basically, this will add more endgame material to Minecraft following the theme of Angelic and Demonic magic. Most of the mod will be inaccessible until after Diamond. After diamond, obsidian tools/armor become available, which can mine the only new ore generated in the overworld - Hellstone Ore.
Hellstone Ore, which drops Hell Shards, will be used to craft Hellstone, the portal block for the Hell Portal. A progression similar to wood - stone - iron - diamond - obsidian will be obtainable in Hell, which consists of Devilsteel - Demonsteel, and then Angelsteel and Godlysteel from heaven. In purgatory, you obtain voidsteel, which is the highest level material in the mod.
Progressing through the dimensions requires hitting certain milestones, collecting ores, and most importantly, killing bosses. There are a grand total of about 40 Bosses in the game, each with a different summoning ritual. these will include the 13 knights of hell, 7 Archdemons, 13 knights of Heaven, 7 archangels, Lucifer, God, and an undecided final boss in Purgatory. Each boss drops a key item in either summoning the next boss or travelling to a new dimension, in the case of God and Lucifer.
In addition to the main progression of the game, there will be plenty of collectable items, tools, weapons and armor, as well as craftable blocks that will somewhat diversify gameplay, from altars to recharge drained weapons, summoning rituals for lesser bosses, and collectable artifacts. Among these will be equipable wings and halos, craftable from parts dropped by angels and demons. A basic halo gives no status effect, and basic wings (which can be either demonic or Angelic) grant flying that drains hunger quickly. these items can be upgraded to grant flying for longer periods of time and various status effects by crafting them with special gems dropped by bosses.

I have only just begun to program this mod, but hopefully I can get hellforge out in the near future. I have coded in all of the ores and basic blocks, most of the armor and tool sets, and a rudementary version of hell, as well as some other miscellanious items. If anyone is interested in helping me code, model, texture, etc, let me know. I'd be glad to share this project. Additionally, any feedback, criticism, or suggestions are most welcome.
