The "distance from 0,0" seems kind of limited with regards to a non-landscaped server...like what if the spawn is boring? Or crowded? Maybe it should be a configurable coordinate?
Hello all! Looking for some feedback on my first mod, Mob Options.
The idea behind this mod was to make getting valuable resources harder, and encourage building bases above ground.
Also, to allow the scaling of mobs by distance for use in exploration / adventure mod packs.
Features:
Allow spawning of certain mobs below a set y level regardless of light levels.
Difficulty scaling of mobs by y level.
Difficulty scaling by distance from 0,0.
Difficulty scaling by dimension.
Mobs get increasingly better armor and weapons the more difficult they are.
Most options this mod adds are configurable in the config.
Please take a look, mess around with it, and tell me what you think!
Should work with most other mods.

I could see how it would be useful if you want to add this mod to a server that is already up, and you have not built by spawn.
But if that is the case anybody who built under y=50 is screwed!!
Also keep in mind that mobs will not start scaling until you are out of the spawn radius, which is configurable, i think 500 by default.
They will however always scale by y value no matter where you are.

I haven't done much testing with the default values yet so it may be way to hard with the defaults.

Planned features:
Allow enchantments from mods on mobs.
Default less enchantments on mobs. (i think its a bit much atm)
Configurable spawning point.
Configurable White/Blacklist for mobs affected by scaling.
Maybe an option to disable undead burning in daylight.
Maybe an option to disable passive mobs from spawning.
