I have a bit of an issue here. I'm not sure if I'm missing something or placing it wrong? I feel kind of silly here. lol How do I get the insulators to attach to the arm?
If that's a standard crossarm (not equipment or deadend, as those are specific types of arms), it should be placed at the same level as the crossarm, so a block down. That way you can place the wire relay on the insulator block and string in wires.
Not sure if this is easy or not but do you think you could please reuse this equipment arm model, raise it, then lengthen it slightly in order for it to work with Sub Transmission insulators, sorry if this is a big ask sometimes I feel I'm a bit to demanding. Plus this would work with the Lines. The brace looks perfect for the crossbar needs lengthening on order to work. Nitpicky I know.😅

I can add that real quick, but it might be next release. I think that would work good with a new pole type, something for older poles. Would make sense for those older multiparts.
Glad to hear it! This is the farthest I've gotten so far on any attempt to create a pack, since I have a really supportive mod developer working on the base mod and helping me through any issues that come up with his software. Hopefully I'll be able to continue support for this pack for a while.
Hey there! I was gonna make some requests for this mod. First off, I created a model of a Altalink 240KV transmission tower on Tinkercad, and I say it looks very accurate to the real thing. If possible, could you add this into the mod? I'll put a link to it: This is the model. Another thing, can you add other designs of Altalink and Fortis Alberta into this pack? Being from Alberta myself, it would bring some more realism to my Minecraft worlds.
Any update on the alley arm update? Not sure when you (Cam) will get back and same with myself but these are the most pressing things I would like to see:
1. Suspension/Deadend Insulators with porcelain.
2. More jumper cable variety on the suspension distribution and 69kV and more single phase dead-arms attached to a pole segment.
3. More neutral line stuff
4. The most difficult would be making the distribution 3-Three phase look more accurate to real life within the wire constructs as right now the central phase is either to short or too long.
Most of the other things ik are coming so yea. This has so much potential and I am enjoying it as it stands currently. These 4 things are more immediate things to be added in my opinion. As distribution is the main focus.

Towers were something I definitely want to do at some point, but they are time consuming so I dunno when I'd be able to make the models. I wouldn't be able to use a different model due to constraints of the parent mod. Alberta is one of the main sources of refs for the pack thus far.

Porcelain deadends and angles were added with this release (IIRC, minds been preoccupied with swapping an axle and suspension out on my truck).
Jumpers were something I never got around to, might be able to at some point in the near future. What do you mean by single phase dead arms?
A couple neutral attachments were added iirc. At least 3 or 4.
I'm aware of the 3 phase issues, and I'm trying to figure a way to fix it. Kinda difficult due to MC restraints, which is what I ran into many things. I'll have to think on that one.
-Distribution angles and deadends, porcelain and polymer
-More equipment (iirc)
-Some X frame hardware, including actual X braces. Individual parts to allow for different sizes.
-Probably some other stuff that I'm too tired to remember.
Just as a little explanation- I finished up lineman school earlier this year and I've been taking care of all sorts of things these last few months. Been crazy busy. On top of that, I recently started a dually conversion on my truck. Royal PITA, but it's nearly done except for fiberglass work. That's what has eaten up most of my time.....
Really enjoying seeing the progression of this mod, I collect insulators and plan on becoming a lineman myself when I get out of school, would be cool to see some square concrete poles like they use here on the coast, hopefully one day someone will create like a flans mod addon with a bucket truck
I've actually thought of adding a bucket truck or digger derrick since I model vehicles as well, we'll see if I ever get around to it. The lift being functional would be the tough part.
Hi, Cam! glad to see you're still working on this!
Do you happen to still have the files to these models? I've previously tried to download the old files, but these particular models weren't in there. Thanks!
Those were earlier work iirc, so outdated models and not compatible with the wires. I could see about adding them back. When did I post that screenshot?
Haven't had the chance to add shield wires yet, but here's some of the poles you had posted using 35kV insulators.
Awesome. They are very common in both Alberta's electric grids. Also good work on the 35kV equipment
Hey, That last picture is DTE Energy! Well, some of it. Can't wait to try it out! Are those parts in this recent update?

Hey CG777 ive been enjoying this mod since 2017

Are these out or coming out in the a later update?
I always wondered what does the top lines do?

If you are referring to the 34.5kV and subtrans, the update I'm working on getting out. It's available on curseforge currently.

New update is out on the main page. Here's a link to the download too. Changelog:
-Subtransmission stuff added
-Some neutral and secondary attachments
-34.5kV distribution
-Distribution angles and deadends, porcelain and polymer
-More equipment (iirc)
-Some X frame hardware, including actual X braces. Individual parts to allow for different sizes.
-Probably some other stuff that I'm too tired to remember.

Oh, I forgot to mention. I'm still playing with your 1.7.10 stuff. 1.7.10 is fine.
