Will we eventually be able to make monarchies and democracies? I want to make a thriving kingdom where everyone is well fed and has a roof over their head. A king that stands with his people and fights for their right to be free! =D
In the great land of Shackle-less! =D
yes yes and yes!
The biggest point of the civilization / governing aspect is that players will choose how well there civilians are treated. Therefore, the player will have to choose between how well their economy functions and how to defend from other nations. Choices will have to be made about how much to spend on military and public services, just like in the real world.
It will be obvious once the game is playable, that civilizations that oppress their citizens and increase their birthrate will be a more formidable opponent, given technology is equal between the two players
Thats what ecocraft is about. While content now is nothing revolutionary, we are building a baseline of blocks/items that will build the foundation for next gen everything, if we can
Very soon. We don't have a release date, but once we finish the water system and hopefully the base of villager / worker system, we will release alpha-snapshot type download

Have you considered a rusting mechanism, with metal items eventually crumbling to rust powder, and if that's not disposed of properly thenthere is a chance it will drain into a pond or stream, poisoning the water, killing crops, animals, people, and even the player if you implement hydration/dehydration.
Greetings. The Archbishop wishes this declaration's purpose was on a far more cheerful note, but alas it will take a more morbid tone. My scouts have finally confirmed a grim undertaking currently planned. The Testificates, the chosen, holy people of Cthulhuism, those who bare the righteous expression of the divine son Squidward, have been chosen for eradication to ensure a wretched race of abominations, dubbed "humans," go uncontested in this world. Lands given to the Testificates by Cthulhu at the beginning of this universe now lie within the scope of malicious magicians. I urge the EcoCraft mages to cease these atrocious plans and seek a more peaceful alternative. The Archbishop is willing to pardon these "humans" in exchange for the protection of the Testificates (perhaps even include them as some sort of genetic "disorder"?) Failure to amend these transgressions against the holy people of Cthulhu will force the Archbishop to unleash a devastating attack beyond the comprehension of any mortal mind: he will post a sorrowful comment.

Maybe they have it so that there are evil testificates, found in nether villages and angel testificates, that are found in sky villages(they spawn near mountains or there are like jetpacks or planes to the mod) and the rest are humans

We have never discussed a rusting system! We will definitely do this when the time is right. We are currently planning on having different water types, so having toxic water is doable.

We are planning to add some (I emphasize some) magical elements along side religious elements. Expanding / Altering the Nether and End will probably happen (Becoming somewhat hell / heaven, respectively)

Do these new water types include brown swamp water? And would you be able to edit how we see underwater?

We could add swamp water.
And "would you be able to edit how you see underwater"? I assume you mean in each different liquid and yes, there will be visibility and property differences between them.

Yay, (i woud quote you ecocraft, but i can't for some reason) will it be possible to make it for metal objects to rust quicker in water and i have a few suggestions: antimatter(worth trillions when traded with scientist villagers(found in well developed, futuristic villages)), sulfuric gas(which when inhaled would cause the potion effect of acid due to sulfur molecues combining to water molecues in your lungs and forming sulfuric acid), californium(same as antimatter), and mercury(has the potential to poison water sources and mobs/players). Also, will the water be like the realistic water plugin for 1.6.4(some will remember it)?

How far will technology be able to go? I personally think it should stop around the 1800's. Firearms available but not extremely advanced. =P

modern day to the level of full genetic manipulation. It's necessary since we have JurassiCraft
