Alchemic Reactions is a mod that aims to create Full Metal Alchemist style alchemy in Minecraft. Right now we don't have a great deal of progress to show off, but we are working on creating a fair and balanced crafting system which has proved more difficult than first conceived.
Early Beta Test Coming October!
The test will include 10 transmutation circles to test
Creation Circles [WIP List]:
Basic Transmutation Circle : Changes Basic materials into similar materials such as grass into sand, woods into other woods, clay into other colours of clay and glass stains into other colours of glass stains.
Basic Creation Circles: Creates a dirt structure resembling a house in a 4x4 area
Door Creation Circle : Takes any type of WOOD behind it and creates a wooden door [Vertically placed]
Bridge Creation Circle : Creates a 10 block path with an materials under it in a straight line
Destruction Circles [WIP List]:
Basic Destruction Circle : Turns five blocks in front of the original placement into lit TNT
As we are creating mod we are doing out best to balance the transmutations and be sure that it is always an equal transmutation. A lot of the mechanics are still a WIP but we still have a few to mention here:
Basic transmutations without a circle
Human transmutation and other various higher level Transmutations
A new form of energy known as essence
1.Get Basic transmutation circle working2.Get Stone shards working3. Get gem ore working and get ore generation working 4. Add more basic level transmutation circles 5. Get crafting system working 6. Get essence system working
[Really Ugly because I don't have the time to create the crafting photos]
We would love to update it to 1.8 sometime but for now we want to get a working Mod done in a conformable language that we are used to. 1.8 uses a weird file format where you have to create a bunch of different file for one item, a bit over our heads for now.
Though don't get your hopes up for an update anytime soon : [
School just started back and is quickly overwhelming the both of us with homework makes it really hard to make this mod. I want to have a test version up sometime in the begging of next month though!
So, I'm guessing that this is only out for a little while at a time... am I correct?
And, follow-up question, can you leave the download up?
And, a tip for the crafting system, try getting in touch with the creator of EE3, he has a transmutation tablet, and chalk circles (circles only make the tablet at the moment), BUT... It might be helpful (Plus it's open source).
I'de say so... At least I hope so. Right now this is THE BEST FMA mod out there, and A: it's not even out, and B: the second best doesn't even have WORKING transmutation circles. You can make them, sure, but that's it. Also it's not in dev.
when will this mod be out? also will you be adding automail, the philosopher stone, humunculi, Scar's tattoo as a nearly indestructible armor. an ability to put some1's sould into armor like Alphonse Elric will you also be adding the ability for some1 to be able to use alchemy without transmutation circles like in the show. but only accessible if you survive trying to bring some1 back to life. automail is accessible for any1 who loses limbs. also will you be able to change the size of players depending on their characters. what about the zombie like characters from the Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood series. cause i'd like to use your mod for Roleplays. also will you be adding the ability Ed has concerning his alchemy and his automail? also will you be making this compatible with renderplayerapicore but make it so you can see both of the arms even though they're different. also would you be making a server for this mod? oh uh will you be making the chimeras as well?
no. there is no necromancy in Fullmetal Alchemist. there are failed attempts at bringing people back to life. there are humunculi who are the result of such attempts. and they look like the ones who died at some point. they're not human but they're the closest thing to being resurrected that there ever was. it's all science in Fullmetal Alchemist.
no, fullmetal alchemist doesn't deal with necromancy. and since you didn't read my full post i was saying "attempt" to bring some1 back from the dead. that's a botched revival of a dead person is the birth of a humunculous, and is what gives a few people their ability to make transmutations without the use of a transmutation circle. they just have to clap their hands together and place their hands on whatever they want to transmute.
