can you add like a chunk loader option to the roling stock `?
Whoa, mate. One addition at a time. I'm still reeling from the crash course I've been getting in GUIs and packet handling. Right now I want to get the GUIs in so I can remove the confusing NBT editing system. Once they're done I plan to release a tutorial video to show how the blocks work, and once that's done I'll see about getting chunkloaders implemented. That's going to require figuring out how the chunkloading system works, which is another week of learning I'm not ready to tackle at the moment. For now you'll just have to rely on a separate chunkloading mod.
for some reason, the signal block doesn't seem to work on locos moving at full speed (minus the cherepanov, mind you) could you please fix this? if it helps the max reverse of the o-class is 300 EDIT: never mind, I figured it out, but for some reason, the bogie block isn't working, even WITH a chicken chunk loader next to it. help?

What's not working about it? Are you still dying in locos/carts?
Don_bruce in an other update will it be possible to use the log carts like the tank ones, I mean to transport wood around and all that stuff? Anyway nice extension for ROW and many thanks for making this.
Now that's a thought. The only issue I can see is figuring out which type of wood is stored. With the tank cart I can change the color of the cart and use that data to tell what liquid is stored. The logging carts, as far as I know, don't change colors, which means I'll have to find another way to store log types.

Yes, i still die when leaving moving train hauling cars behind it help?
edit: as a simply PRIME EXAMPLE, try braking in a n o-class engine moving @ full speed while carrying a tender behind you. seriously try it, then report back and if you can with a patch, also, the fueling block doesn't seem to work on tenders, please fix

Oh, so it's OTHER cars that kill you? A few words on damage might clear this up:
The reason you die while riding trains normally is that since they ride on top of the tracks the train never touches the ground. Because of this the train accumulates fall damage, much like a minecart in the air. If the train happens to hit the ground you get all of the fall damage and an instant death. This happens more often than not on slanted tracks, as they require adjusting of the cart's height. The bogie block prevents this by clearing fall damage from all carts. While you might experience a few hurt sounds on your trip, they won't do you any harm.
What happens when a cart slams into you is not this type of damage. In this case the moving cart gives you contact damage, with the total damage based on the speed of the cart. This is the intended function, as it allows moving carts to clear the track instead of stopping like regular minecarts. The bogie block can't fix this; it would require a total re-write of the ROW code. Really you shouldn't be slamming on the breaks of the locomotive at high speed. A better way is to use a signal block to apply a little of reverse to quickly stop the train. As an example: if you have a full-throttle Ov going forwards that needs to stop quickly set a signal block to give it -20 throttle. This creates a negative force that will stop the train safer than the finicky braking system. This method is actually used in real-life to slow down vehicles with steam engine powertrains.
As far as the fueling block goes, I haven't yet implemented tender fueling due to some idiosyncrasies with the tender. For some reason a piece of coal dropped into the tender only results in 10 fuel points, while putting it into the loco gives 80. I was thinking of correcting the tender fueling value to 80, but don't want to unless that's the way it's supposed to be. Also, the tender always resets it's coal level on world unload (at least for me), and I can't fill the tender using NBT data like I can the locomotives. I suspect this is due to an error in its NBT handling, so fixing it will take a bit of time.

ok, i see sigh,.. btw i noticed the gui will crash minecraft if a value is left missing. for instance, let's say i leave the min speed field blank before hitting escape, minecraft will crash to launcher. this does no harm to the saved world, mind you, but it's annoying when one ACCIDENTALLY hits the escape key, only to have to reload 50+ mods... is there a way to fix this?

Now that's something that I can fix; it's caused by the program trying to make a blank string into a number. Here's a patched update. Now if you press escape with a blank box it resets it to the value it was before you opened the GUI.
thanks, but id like to suggest a something, it would be a creative fueling block, where it wouldn't need fuel in a chest next to it to work.
Would a better fueling block do?
I've just updated to ROWAM 2.0.2, which includes an unlimited fuel option for the fueling block. Right-clicking it while in creative mode will cause it to instantly fuel all stock that pass by. Note that I say all stock, as the fueling block now works on tenders! Fuel is modified to give you the correct fueling value for each piece of coal in the chest; previously each piece of coal dropped into the tender would result in 1/8 of its fuel value being applied.
Also, have a better tank block while you're at it. The new tank blocks now work with any forge fluid tank, not just Buildcraft and SFT.
it apears that the bogie block dosnt work chunkloaded = true
Could you tell me what it's not doing/ when it's not working? I can't really debug it unless I know the circumstances in which it fails. If you're getting hurt by carts running into you like trainfan91 up there, then that's not the bogie block's function to begin with.
Here's a new build with that problem removed. It also fixes an error in the fueling block where the block wouldn't fuel in creative mode unless a chest was placed next to it. The tank block also crashed servers, but surprisingly nobody reported that one.
another thing I'd LOVE to see happen is a block that could load/unload mobs/players nearby, kinda like the embarking/disembarking tracks from rail craft. it'd be Simply AWESOME to see on the train, am i rite?

Apparently nobody in the ROW thread that looked at my picture caught on to the fact that it's currently impossible to have testificates ride trains. Hmph! I think a gif will fix that!
Quite right, my friend! There does exist the possibility of using the /summon command to summon a train car with a testificate riding it, but I'm not too familiar with that type of code to know if it's actually possible. No, passenger loading is best left to the station block in ROWAM 3.0, which will be out this weekend. I'm trying to keep to a once-a-week update schedule, which should hold as long as I have ideas.

AKA: most awesome and already in-progress.
would you kindly tell me how to teleport a testificate onto a train car using command blocks? I'd Be Ever So thankful!

I do I get that stuff in Row? Like the tank cars and etc
I meant how do I get it
Where do I get ROWAM?
