I've tested all algorithms, but none of them made any difference at all.
I kept standing still, with weather off, night off, OptiFine's fast math option disabled and without any other algorithm tweaking mod (to not interfere with the results), and the debug screen enabled to monitor the changes for more or less 5 minutes each, in my slow computer. I started monitoring for vanilla, so I could compare. Then kept changing to the next algorithm each after the 5 minutes of testing, and restarting. Each time I changed to the next, 1 more FPS was increased. So I thought "Okay, now let's just keep testing to see what algorithm increases more". Then after I tested all algorithms and having an increase of 3 FPS compared to vanilla, I changed back to vanilla algorithm to check if the last one really increased FPS. But the surprise was that the FPS when using vanilla algorithm was exactly the same as the last algorithm. Then I realized that it wasn't the algorithm which was increasing the FPS, but my computer that coincidently was rendering a bit faster after all of these restarts...
What's the name of the config file. I can't find it. Also, how do I change the f12 key to something else?
The name of the config file is "betterfps.txt" it will be inside your minecraft installation (.minecraft). You can change the F12 key the same way you can change any other key, in "Controls".

I've checked both the config and the controls. I can't find either. I am on 1.7.1. I know the mod is working because f12 works.

Anyway, I have a very slow cpu but a fast gpu. Should I not use this mod? I heard it uses more cpu over gpu.

It's the opposite, it uses less CPU for math.
I've never tested the mod in 1.7.1, I don't know if it works perfectly.
I can't help you with this version, since the mod was developed for 1.7.10, 1.8.0 and 1.8.8/9. Sorry.
I found Riven's to be the best but, what I know so far: Riven's "Full" - RAM and Riven's "Half" - CPU. But what does a normal Riven's do, use both RAM and CPU?
Whenever I click install, there's nothing on the dropdown menu. My Minecraft folder is correct.
You need to have installed the Minecraft version before running the installer. For example, in v1.2.0, you need Minecraft 1.8.8 installed.
If you are using Forge, just drop the jar inside the mods folder.
v1.2.0 works in 1.8.8 and 1.8.9, but the installer only works in 1.8.8

Oh, okay. It worked now, thanks. Also, is this mod approved on servers like Mineplex and Hypixel?
P.S im using Optifine with this mod (1.8) without forge and i cant press F12 to pull up the algorithm menu, but im going to install the latest version to see if it fixes anything.

Edit: Also, what does ms mean and do?
Yes.
ms = miliseconds
1000 miliseconds = 1 second
I'm back to the development now, and I'll release a new 1.8.9 update soon, I just want to test it before releasing.
After that, I'll start working on the 1.9 update.
I really like this mod (following it from when you posted it here), probably because i got used to playing with 17 fps...
There's one weird thing, though:
For my graphics card, Taylor's algorith, is the best. But when i'm walking, my camera is constantly 360 noscoping on roll axis. Seriously, WHAT?
Do you have any ideas on what is going on?
I also have one suggestion: why in order to switch algorithm, do you have to reload the game? Can't you do patches redirect calls to your code that depending on configuration at runtime uses correct algorithm? Or is there another reason?

I could change without reloading the game, but that can cost render time, so I prefer reloading the game for better performance
The "Taylor's algorithm" is strange, in some computers it works perfectly, in other ones it is really buggy. I have no idea how to fix it, but I'll look into the code again to see if I'm doing something wrong

Maybe you could do an potion for first one, so we can choose best algorithm without restarting game 10000 times and then when we chose it, it patches directly with chosen one.
Disabled fastmath right?
Yeah, http://files.minecraftforge.net/maven/net/minecraftforge/forge/index_1.8.9.html
It mean I'm not asking the dev if he can port the mod over or anything.
Yes, as I said: "OptiFine's fast math option disabled".
The 1.8.8 version works with Forge 1.8.9, but the installer will not list 1.8.9 versions.

Yes, this mod just optimizes the game for a better performance, it can't be considered cheat
You're Still Updating This Right?

I use 1.8.9 and I drop the file in the mod folder but it doesnt work. i have inventory tweaks. i still only have 4 mods installed
Press F12 ingame. Note, your keyboard may require you to press the "fn" key, typically located by your "ctrl" and "Shift" keys, to use the F1-12 keys.
If the mod is working properly, you should be prompted with a menu to select an algorithm. Riven's Half and Full seem to give the best results.
