I have just started using the Malisis doors mod in order to get the mixed blocks. However, I've found the new hybrid blocks are not compatible with some other mods (such as the Wall Painter Mod). I am interested to see if your mod would fix this issue.
1.9 is coming along nicely, I can now see modding being possible.

Indeed it is, sad thing is I would need to redo almost everything as the difference between 1.6.4, 1.8 and 1.9/1.10 means a lot of coding renames, which sucks cause I don't know whats what lol
Also I'm moving, no internet for a while so that might be when I do something for this mod, but im also working on maps and models so who knows.

Well, good luck to ya, hopefully a 1.8.9 build can come out first, as it's a good stable build aside from 1.9.
