Undead+ - Back from the Dead! [Update 03/24/16]
Poll: Which version should become the primary target for release
Ended Mar 24, 2016
Poll: Are you interested in this mod being continued?
Ended Nov 9, 2015
Q: When will this mod/feature be ready?
A: When it is done. Porting this mod is like trying to rebuild an old car except 90% of the instructions are in a language no one understands and most of the parts aren't made anymore so you have to make them yourself.
Q: You haven't posted anything in a while, is this project dead?
A: I did give up on this project last May due to pretty much everything being broken and this project receiving substantially less interest than my other mods. However, I feel like things might run better in 1.9 considering 1.8 was mostly shunned by the modding community. If I do leave this project again, I will make a formal announcement. Between college, work, and life in general there may be long gaps between updates.
Q: When is the next pre-release coming out?
A: I've decided to abandon my weekly pre-release schedule as according to GitHub only like two downloads a week were occurring and play testing each one to make sure it was fit for play (Even though many of them weren't) wastes time that could be spent on fixes. Instead I will do pre-releases when major parts of this mod are ported successfully.
I plan on adding everything they planned on adding(Although the dimension is kind of up in the air as I need to rewrite pretty much all of that, mobs are pretty easy to port). And even though I know quite a bit about 1.8 modding, I appreciate the help
Each instance is unrelated to each other, as in they each go towards something different. They all register under the same ID declared in the constructor(I plan on making the ID configurable eventually). I could make a static variable that points to an instance of the grave biome but that is not much different from what I'm already doing.
Well this mod is still in development so I think all of that stuff is still applicable. That and I don't want to blow up the forums
Hello, it's my favorite mod for minecraft from the very first appearance of this mod, and I was sad when this mod has not been updated. I tried to convert it to 1.7.2, as the mods that I use only for 1.7.2. Would you say if I can convert it to 1.7.2 without knowing Java? Thank you, sorry for my language
p.s. Do not add biome, please. Only mobs
The biome has been and will remain implemented. I'll make sure to add a config option to disable it though. And no, you will need to know some Java to down port the mod. At the moment, I have no plans on down porting this mod because by the time I get it fully functional most mods will be on 1.8. People are free to give it a shot though.
Refined the Q&A section
New build out with all kinds of goodies! Grab it while it's hot!
All mobs have their original abilities from the mod. Some have some AI tricks like opening door while others spawn more entities on death or apply potion effects when they attack. Also, a few zombies have new textures.
Sorry for not following my weekly schedule but a new build is out! Lots of cool new stuff!
Glad to see this mod rolling again. Will have to check it out once I get into 1.8 (still on 1.7.10 mod packs).
I do NOT go off half cocked! I pull the hammer ALL the way back !
