So I was looking threw the Requests/Ideas Thread and I found Link Removed. The magical library mod. So i set about seeing what i could do.
What I've come up with is seriously WIP and as yet there are no download links.
So far i have created
The book of the harvest
When right clicked it spawns a 6x6 around you of farmland with random vanilla crops and a water block below you if there isn't one already
The book of the eclipse
When right clicked it turns day to night for a soon to be configurable amount of time
The book of withering
When right clicked it destroys all plant life in a 6x6, turns grass to dirt and inflicts a wither potion effect on all mobs in the area.
So on the list of things to do is :
Take screen shots for this forum.
Get new book textures
Work out how the player will obtain these books.
Work out how the player won't abuse these effects.(They are currently Insta-cast, with no cooldown)
Make new books. (I already have some ideas)
Get an awesome banner.
Put the source code on Github
and other things i probably have no idea about yet.
I got an idea on how to obtain the books.
Add a new kind of bookshelf which spawns randomly in Villages and Strongholds (Or anywhere where there are vanilla bookshelves). When the bookshelf is destroyed or mined, it drops random Magical Books.
And oh, I was thinking of limited usage of each books. Like, maybe each book can only be used 10 times.

I could make some models and textures for you. I could also make a banner if you provide me with some screenshots and a description of what you would like.
Here's the unfinished banner. I need you to add an opened book (Like the one on the Enchanting Table) floating of his right hand. Add any words like "Magic Library Mod" and any relevant stuffs.

Make these books enchantable- more like, just adding more levels to the books making them stronger every time you enchant them; for example:
Book of Harvest I= When right clicked it spawns a 3x3 around you of farmland with random vanilla crops and a water block below you if there isn't one already (3 usage)
Book of Harvest II= When right clicked it spawns a 6x6 around you of farmland with random vanilla crops and a water block below you if there
isn't one already (4 usage)
Book of Harvest III= When right clicked it spawns a 9x9 around you of farmland with a GUI to choose which vanilla crops to plant and place water blocks appropriately (5 usage)
and so on... up to probably level 15 or something; however, a used book cannot be enchanted- and when its durability depletes, the item is destroyed.
SUGGESTION II: Add an enchantment to your More Enchantments Mod to allow normal books and quails to be enchantable and output a random level 1 Magical Library book
EXAMPLE: I throw in a normal book and quail into the enchantment table, I offer my required XP, and I get a random level 1 Magical Library book back ( 33% Book of Harvest I, 33% Book of Withering I, 33% Book of Eclipse I...lower the percentage if more books are added in the future)
SUGGESTION III: More Books (Enchantable to get more levels for a longer effect duration and durability)
(Branched off of "Book of Harvest")
Book of Green Orchards: When right clicked, a single bonemeal effect is applied in a 3x3 area around the user (5 usages- enchant to increase the AOE and Durability)
Book of Thanks Giving: When right clicked around full grown crops or tall grass, the blocks are harvested giving a 10% chance of plants yielding double the crops/seeds in a 3x3 area (3 usages- enchant to increase the probability, AOE, and Durability)
Book of Drought Prayers: (upon desperation for food) When right clicked on a crop-less farm (a farm that has been planted with seeds but has not grown any crops), the tilted dirt blocks turn into sand and the seeds turn into the full grown crop at a 1:1 ratio of seed:crop. (1 usage- 5x5 area, not enchantable)
Book of Silk Laundering: When right clicked on a leaf block, the leaf block is destroyed with a 10% chance of dropping one string in a 1x1 area (10 usage- enchant to increase AOE up to 3x3 max, increase durability up to 30 usages, and increase the success rate up to 75% max)
Book of the Beast's Hmpf!: When right clicked, it gives the user a Strength Effect for 15 sec. (3 usages- enchant to increase effect duration and durability)
Book of the Frog's Umpf!: When right clicked, it gives the user a High Jump and No Fall Damage ability for 15 sec. (3 usages- enchant to increase effect duration, durability, and jump height)
Book of the Wind's Argh!: When right clicked, all mobs and entities around the player in a 5x5 area is knocked back 5 blocks, no damage (3 usages- enchant to increase the AOE and knock back distances)
Book of the Earth's Ooof!: When right clicked, all mobs around the player in a 5x5 area succumbs to a max level SLOWNESS, which makes the mobs non-mobile for 15 sec. (3 usages- enchant to increase the AOE and effect duration up to 30 sec.)
Book of Flora Falls: When right clicked, it spawns in a Witch; however, it does not act like the normal vanilla witches. Instead, it just follows you for 30 seconds and throws random negative buff potions at enemies (1 usage- enchant to increase the time the witch can stay out and increase the potions
effects from 5 seconds to 15 seconds max)
Book of Sara Summers: When right clicked, it spawns in a Witch; however, it does not act like the normal vanilla witches. Instead, it just follows you for 30 seconds and throws instant heal potions at you (1 usage- enchant to increase the time the witch can stay out and increase the potions effects from 1 heart to 5 hearts max)
Book of Wendy Winter: When right clicked, it spawns in a Witch; however, it does not act like the normal vanilla witches. Instead, it just follows you for 30 seconds and throws instant damage potions at enemies (1 usage- enchant to increase the time the witch can stay out and increase the potions effects from 1 heart to 5 hearts max)
Book of Sabrina Springs: When right clicked, it spawns in a Witch; however, it does not act like the normal vanilla witches. Instead, it just follows you for 30 seconds and throws random positive buff potions at you (1 usage- enchant to increase the time the witch can stay out and increase the potions effects from 5 seconds to 15 seconds max)
I hope you take some suggestions into considerations, and would love to see this mod become fruitful someday.
I like alot of your ideas. Sorry i havent been all that active. My immune systems shot after not having my appendix anymore and its causing me all the sicknesses :/ ill try work on this some more soon
I'm thinking you should make a really cool altar that you right click with a book and throw certain items onto the book and and right click it and it will infuse them after a few seconds.
P.S. don't forget the epic animations and particles while it's infusing

What about some kind of staff, altar or ritual so the books can be made or used?
Maybe some books can be easily used (right-clicked), some more time-consuming (needs an altar) and some are a lot harder but more rewarding (ritual).
And maybe the books become drained after a while and need to be "recharged"?
For example:
- Be put on a pedestal in a specific biome for a while or within a radius of a certain mob
- Needs to be enchanted, or a ritual to add items to it
- Or just simply have to wait?
I'm thinking you should make a really cool altar that you right click with a book and throw certain items onto the book and and right click it and it will infuse them after a few seconds.
