I do love this mod. But I do have a few ideas. Firstly one thing I was hoping to see was a power that directly hurt enemies. (I think I have asked for this before) I would love to have a projectile of some kind that can be used all the time without a cool down time allowing it to be used as an alternative means of combat.
I like the look of that "laser" thing that comes from the alter when you level up that would be a cool attack. The blood vision is quite useful, But the huge red disks you see are a little ugly. It would be cooler to have an effect not unlike the spectral arrow effect that you use against mobs, But perhaps with a red tint.
The teleport is a bit useless since I can only move 4 blocks max and it takes time to bring up the "skill rose". If you could move to any position on the horizon then it would be great as an escape and I would use the heck out of it.
Both the invisibility and the teleport feel a little "generic". By this I mean it does not feel innate to vamps not in the same way the bat transformation does. You could be a vamp as much as you could be the invisible woman from fantastic 4.
For me there is a distinct feeling of being underpowed after having been a hunter. As a hunter I could kill enemies in a single swipe of my sword. Now it takes more effort. Maybe the vamps attacks need a buff? Especially since they are supposed to have super strength and be able to send enemies flying with punches.
I dislike the fact that I drown considering that vamps are supposed to be undead. If it follows suite to the rest of the undead mobs in MC than the vamps should be healed by poison and potions of harming. Are they of the undead type?
I feel like your right about vampires being underpowered,hunters are currently stronger than the vampires,I understand they are supposed to fight them,but hunters are just trained men,while vampires are literally immortal demonic creatures feared for their intense power and near invincibility,and your right about the drowning thing,the vampires should need no air and whats poison to someone who is dead?

1.a projectile doesn't really seem right. 2. a laser doesn't really feel like a vamp should be shooting that. 3. maybe not that far of a tp but yes farther tho I do not remember it being 4 blocks.4. true but it is a vampire feature I don't think it should be removed or added to.5.true and I agree but vampire hunters are advanced trained men. not just trained men. 6. I've told you this before if a vampire even crosses or get splashed by water there will be a terrifying scream and they will die. Your lucky that they can even cross water. Not that they shouldn't be able to cross water in this mod oh and I left out they can only cross water if in their coffin. P.S. however to balance out future op vampire powers there should be holy water.
Yeah we all have our own opinions about what makes a vampire,depending on what version of vampires we follow they could twinkle in sunlight(Blaugh) or burn(normal) or even just drain blood(I have seen other mods do it).Some of us think vampires should not be able to cross water,others want them to breathe underwater.I really don't think this mod follows any version in particular,but I do think vampires are underpowered at the moment,this could be due to how new the mod is,as this version does not have any form of mind control or vampire lords yet,but I see alot of strange things about vampires in this mod,like how normal attacks and poison can kill them,but in the end,we are just talking,while Max actually decides everything.

Yeah I've just been disapproving lately so I want to suggest a bloodlust skill. As for hunters garlic blood. Were vamps get the garlic effect until half of their hp is gone because vamps been biting hunters carelessly. (unles on the server with the exeption of on person.)

1. Yeah, some kind of ranged attack would be cool, e.g. some kind of fire balls. I will implement that at some point, but at the moment I just don't have enough time
2. It does not look super cool, but I don't think it has too, especially since it should be more of a "feeling" (that there is a creature in the direction) than actually identifying it. But I might switch to the vanilla kind of highlighting at some point, because my version seems to cause odd problems in rare cases.
3. It should actually work over 40 blocks, but I agree sometimes it feels like less. For the activation I suggest to set the keybinding of your middle mouse button to open the menu, which allows you to activate that action really quick

5. Balancing is WIP, so I need feedback like this to adjust it. I will try to buff them soon.
6. They are not of UNDEAD type because it might cause some other problems. The fact that they are poisoned is simply caused by the fact that they sometimes need to be poisoned. Maybe I will change that when I did some more work on garlic and add some garlic potion effect

About the vampires and water I want to say that the reason they shouldn't at least breath underwater is because when you become a vamp your blood becomes thicker and looses water. Also they don't need to breathe as much but also they can't cross water unless in cofinn so maybe a coffin boat?
CG: I wasn't exactly sure how to respond to the poll about vampires and water, so I decided to here. I was thinking that Vampires should be affected by water in some way, but maybe only affected by a specific variation of water, such as holy water. Another option could be a time limit to being in water, which would be similar to the breath bubbles Minecraft already has for being underwater.
CG: Another question of mine was if there was a way to cure yourself of vampirism.
It was painful and boring and took about 20 hours of work, but the GuideBook is finally DONE. It should give you most of the information you need, but it is not perfect yet. If you are missing something or find an issue, please tell me. Also you are required to install Guide-API if you want to use the guide.
This update also includes one important changes and a few new other features:
To level up from level 4 upwards you will now need one "Vampire Book" per level, it contains some ancient/vampiric texts. They can be found in some loot chests alongside a few other items from Vampirism. Example locations: Hunter Trainer, stronghold library, desert pyramid or dungeons.
All loots are implemented as loot tables, so map or mod pack maker can adjust them easily.
Besides a few enchantments there are a few new items for Vampire Hunters: Two armors (Armor of Swiftness and Hunter Coat) and a Battle Axe.
They exist in three different tiers. The first one can be crafted by every hunter, the second one by hunters with the respective skill and the last one can only be found in loot chests.

Are there any drawbacks to hunter armor like how much protection they offer? Also I looked through a large amount of dungeons and found no vampire books,but when I open them it says Invalid book tag.
The Armor of Swiftness does not offer very much protection (at least if it is not enchanted), it is at leather armor level.
The Hunter Coat is around Iron level (unenchanted and in normal tier), so it has a few advantages over the iron one, but is more expensive.
Only generated books have content (although the content is actually not important for leveling purpose). But it is strange that you did not find any vampire books, in my tests I found one in most of the dungeons. Did you find any other of Vampirism's items in the vampire dungeon chests?
Edit: I just noticed that made them NOT generate in normal dungeons, but only in the new vampire dungeons..

Yeah, in some villages there is a church with an Altar of Cleansing.
It works alongside somehow, but it is not integrated and the villagers are probably not convertible etc. Support might come in the future.
