Thanks for the explanation, I will look how much I can/want adapt from that
Now I think there is main decision to make. The Lord transformation as in Skyrim is something temporary which you have to activate, whereas TheBeastCH thinks of a permanent state (you only loose it if killed by a vampire or maybe something else).
So here is my current idea:
I basically prefer the toggle able skill, but since we already have a rage/frenzy mode, we could add some stuff similar to Skyrim's lord to that. The Vampire Lord would then be something top tier and more permanent similar to what TheBeastCH suggested.
I think we could keep working minions reserved for the Vampire Lord mode, but you could revive some fallen mobs which then fight for you on a earlier point.
I think the multiplayer aspect of this mod can get pretty cool, but that will take a lot of work, we won't focus on that now. So there probably should be multiple bosses or so. But even that is a decision for later
1. Some more types would be cool, we will see how many LRA_10 wants to make :D. Regarding the sound, we will have to see if we find any freely available vampire sounds we can find.
2. We have the altar for level 1 so you only become a vampire if you want to, so we could it be more common, but your idea also sounds pretty cool, I will discuss that with the others. We defenitively don't want the altar with it's cool model, where you can insert the sword, go to waste.
3. As wildbill22 already said it's not finished yet
I didnt suggest you to remove the Altar.
I just suggested an alternative Possibility of Turing into a Vampire that doesnt need a Block or a Ritual.
If this Effect goes long enough, anyone could easily cure it, so they dont get Turned by accident.
And even if somone gets turned withot wanting it, he could get to a Church and get turned back...
I like the Look of this Block too.
I suggest you also to make the Altar spawn in more Biomes. This ist just an Idea of adding a second way as alternative if players, like me, just cant find one, and dont have the patience to keep looking for Days.

It is Fun to turn all this Pigs, Sheeps and Cows into Vampire-Pigs, Vampire-Sheeps and Vampire-Cows. But italso feels strange transforming all this Mobs instantly into Vampire Versions of them, after having so much efford becoming a Vampire and beeing bitten multiple times.
I like the Vampire Pig texture the best so far, exept the normal Vampire. I didnt see the Vampire-Villager yet, but im looking forward to it.
Goat-Blood (Goats from Mo' Creatures Mod) is poisenus for some reason. I Understand Zombies and Spiders, but why Goats?
XD Just Kidding. Goats are not Vanilla, and your Mod doesnt support Mobs from other Mods (yet?)
I really got scared when Hunters started to show up everywhere. One even walked inside my Base!
Good thing, they are weeker than I first imagined them. I dont like the Texture of the Heart Item they drop, but thats probably just me.
Also, I think it would be funny if those Hunters dropped sticks or/and an Axe.
I had an Idea of those Hunters dropping Garlic (hope I translated that correctly. Its supposed to be the Word for "Knoblauch" translated from German. Sorry if I mixed something up) that keeps Vampires away when Placed down and gives Vampire Players weekness, slowness and nausea when near it, but I dont know...
Maybe it would be wierd to Kill Vampire Hunters as a Normal Player for the Garlic (again, dont laugh at me, if Garlic is something compleatly diffrent) to protect their Houses from Vampires. And why should a Vampire ever Use it?
Anyway. Playing this Mod is Fun. Hope you like my Feedback.
I currently look for some Gold for the Tier 2 Altar in order to get to level 2...

I will investigate, if there is an easy way to support other mod's mobs, otherwise that will have to wait.
The texture for the heart is actually pretty ugly, but the best I could do at that moment. Maybe I will try it again or ask someone else
We might add the axe as a drop. Garlic is the right term We thought already thought about garlic, but did not find a good way to implement it yet, it will definitively will be cool if/when we start working on the PVP part.
I really like TheBeastCH's idea of being bitten. What do you think of the following:
When the player is attacked by a vampire, he will (with a certain chance, maybe 5% or so) get a status effect (similar to regeneration or poison) which will be active for a while (~10-20 minutes). Maybe this status effect will slow down your regeneration slightly or increase your hunger, but not much.
When the status effect is over, you will become a vampire.
If you don't want to become a vampire, you have to heal yourself before the status effect is over. I think these are some good options:
drink some milk (easiest method, I guess)
use some sort of ritual (involving a villager or a villager's blood)
What do you think?
I like most of what you said.
The only Thing I dont Agree with you is the Ritual.
I dont think it should take an expensive or complicated Ritual. Appart from Milk, I think there should be an even easier way.
For exemple eating a certain Kind of Food that doesnt require the Iron to craft a Bucket. Like an Apple (punching leaves)
Or just going into a Church...

I implemented the new way of becoming a vampire (with the milk bucket to heal) and it seems to turn out pretty good.
The old Altar Tier 1 will be used as an altar where you can get some good buffs/potion effects if you insert a sword full of villager/mob blood, Mistadon is working on that.
That stuff will be in the next update.

Okay. Im doing way too many posts here, and I guess its a litte anoying. Sorry about that.
I'll try to do less Posts now. Maby every second or third day instead of multiple ones per day.
But there is another thing.
The Vampire Hunters are way too common.
In my Superflat World, where I do Experiments in Creative, they spawn all over the Place, outnumbering everthing else that spawns by a million times, and getting in my way while building. Its really Annoying.
Their Number is not much lower in my survival world. When they start beeing hostile to me at a certain Level, I wont survive a minute...
I kept thinking about Garlic.
I Agree, it would be great if it was added along with multiplayer support. But thats probably no near future.
The Way I thought about what it could do is actually pretty close to what it does in the Book. (Keeps Vampires away with its Smell. VanHelsing used it to Keep Dracula away from Lucy he was drinking from for multiple Nights) I just dont have an Idea how to get it so it doesnt involve murdering your Allies and still makes sense...

Thank you, I think I found the issue and fixed it.
If you would like to you could try the new snapshot (found at the downloadpage as 1.7.10-latest v0.4.2.36). It also includes the new way to become a vampire, everything else should work as normal, but I recommend to not use altar tier 1, since it is not finished atm.
@VergiltheDarkSlayer @anton99
How does that sound?
@TheBeastCH
I think the multiplayer aspect of this mod can get pretty cool, but that will take a lot of work, we won't focus on that now. So there probably should be multiple bosses or so. But even that is a decision for later

The Report from the Third time in a row.
I didnt take a close look at those, but I cant seem to find a difference between those three...
Roughly 95% of Minecraft
players hate Villagers and would be very happy if they were removed. If
you are one of the 5% who actually like villagers, copy this into your
signature and hope it never happens. ~EnderDude124
Thank you, I think I found the issue and fixed it.
If you would like to you could try the new snapshot (found at the downloadpage as 1.7.10-latest v0.4.2.36). It also includes the new way to become a vampire, everything else should work as normal, but I recommend to not use altar tier 1, since it is not finished atm.
as I use the mod in version 0.4.2
