well, i saw the banner on peipai's signature and decided to take a look, then i thought to myself in my draconic mind "wouldn't it be cool if i could be a night fury in game" so i decided to post a comment.
Really? That's weird. I just used the buttons in the toolbar thing.
But that sounds like a good plan. It would be useless to worry too much about compatibility when the mod's still in it's early stages. Still, it's something to look forward to, along with all the awesomeness of the mod by itself. XD
yes morph does alow you to turn into mobs, but it doesnt do the same stuff as what this one will do.
So I will be the one coding what this mod does. I'm a little confused as to what you think the difference will be between morphing into a mob (a dragon for instance) and being able to become a dragon where you can fly around and do the things (abilities) that the dragon can do.

well, morph can only go as far as give you the same hitbox and make you move/look like a dragon, as long as morph doesnt have any special coding for it. what i am thinking is that it would be cool if we could get a intergration thing between our two mods, that way when they are both installed on someones client they have more choices to choose from (your dragons, and HTTYMDs dragons), which i think would help both mod quite alot. i havent talked to the owner of our mod yet about this idea, i just think it would be a cool addition.
Ok, we will see. I do plan to provide some compatibility with other mods, not sure about which ones. I have never played How To Train Your Dragon, but looking at the WIP page, I see it is Copyrighted, where as this mod is open source. That could be a problem, as I won't have access to their source code unless they decide to provide it. One way to work together with other mods is to access their API. I don't see any mention of an API, but possibly they have one.
We are still at least a month from releasing anything, so anything can happen
Just thought I'd give a small update on the what's been happening. We've added the longbow, crossbow, mace, spear, longsword, the knight, Argentum Draco, Crepitus Draco and the guard. For now we have Argentum Draco as a mob until we add him as the player. Crepitus Draco can be tamed with gunpowder. I will update the mod thread and post some pictures a ASAP.
We are getting to the point where we will need some testers. The next four people to reply will be added as testers. Make sure you are serious about wanting to test.

By the way, I love the banner. I'm putting it in my signature. :3
If actions speak louder than words can you yell louder in sign language?
I was thinking once we got most of the planned features working we could add some compatibility with other mods.
