What is the Weight of a Soul?
This is a mod that aims to do with Necromancy what Thaumcraft has done with Magic.

Intended Features:
This mod is planned to be released for Minecraft version 1.8
There are three planned major content updates
1. Initial Release: Overworld Content and Soul-fueled Machinery
A new subset of stone/cobblestone/stonebrick: Finished, but I have 4 more variants I can still add
6 new wood types: 1 still needs textured
New Ores: Mostly done, Metal Blocks and tools need finished
A few Custom Biomes for the overworld:
2 Content Update: Custom Dimension and Procedural Generation
This will probably add the most content
3. Content Update: Player Controlled Mobs and Automation
About me:
I am a 22 year old college student currently working on my Bachelors in Math & Computer Science, having previously majored in both Engineering and Computer Science at a community college. (I really like robots)
This project is mostly because Mincecraft/Mods are lacking in the Necromancy department;
It is also partly something to add to my resume.
After release, I intend to continuing updating and adding features to this mod in my free time.
It looks pretty good, but when the download link pops up, what will be the modpack policy, how will the mod work, etc? Plus I think the textures are fine.

The Modpack Policy will probably be : yes, as long as you source me, link back to the main thread post, don't make money off of it, and attempt to minimize people coming to me with bugs that don't actually involve my mod.

My first attempt at a custom rendered mob
The DustMote, an ambient creature that is a byproduct of manipulating souls... has a very limited lifespan, as it is only soot/dust animated by misplaced soul energy
Thankyou, I'm very proud of the Haunted Forests so far. what's left to do with them is custom mob spawning, scatter ruins around them, and the subBiome/structure that you'll fight one of the bosses in (dont worry, you have to activate it, he wont be roaming around by default).
I hope this mod (once released) will be available for 1.8.9, I would then have the perfect modpack for it... Oh and here's an idea: Reaper's Scythe (basically an end game weapon dealing 13+ damage and with the ability to reap the souls of the living) can't wait for the mod release!

I'm working on this again! 1.8 sure complicates things, but also allows me to have some features I desperately wanted.
But ohmygod does anything with BlockStates take forever to write.
