Dark World is a mod that adds a new dimension called "Dark World".
You need to make a new portal to get there, but how?
And what is this mysterious looking stone?
This mod is really far from done, so expect major changes!
What Is The Dark World?
Dark World is a dimension that looks like the overworld, but evil and darkness rules this realm. Are you prepared?
The Downloads are in Alpha because it isn't finished, it will be Beta if the mod is almost done, but not optimized.
If you would like to help me: GitHub
Added:
- more blocks / items
- the dark world dimension
- 2 biomes for the dark world dimension (Dark Desert, Dark Plains)
- Ore generation
- dark sky in the dark world dimension
- natural Lake generation (Dark Lava, Dark Water)
- natural grass / cactus generation (using normal gen for now)
- some changes i can't remember
I recently found and downloaded your mod from your curse forge page. Upon playing around with it I ran into a problem; how do you get Compressed Peculiar Dust? Arranging a 3x3 Peculiar Dust (Blocks) in a Crafting Table didn't "Compress" it. Is there some other cryptic way to get the Compressed Peculiar Dust needed to make the portal?
I noticed this mod and thought "This is too good to be true, a mod about a dark double of the overworld?" since ive been looking for one like this for all my years of playing minecraft...
Anyways, if you haven't used it already a good reference is the game Metroid Prime: Echos since it pulls off the dark/light twin worlds idea pretty well so you can use that to get some ideas if you need them

I took a look at the source code on GitHub. It doesn't look like he wrote one.
