This mod is cool but the crafting recipes in NEI doesn't work maybe its because the types of the bag is written in grey.
Hope you reply and update it soon.
p.s.:I like the idea of a creeper bag.
Answering you and many others, the NEI integration is a problem I'm aware of.
The thing is... the way I handle the recipes makes it impossible for NEI to know how to make the backpacks. I'm weird and I code in strange ways.
That said, I'll probably make a dedicated NEI thingamajig to let the recipes show. All the recipes are currently active and working but you have to meet one requirement:
The backpack can not be used before trying to craft it into another one. That's not intended but it is a side effect of working with NBT tags. I'll try to fix it.
I have a long TODO list just waiting to cause me insomnia the very moment i get back into coding the mod, but rest assured I'm aware of many problems.
This is WIP anyway
I'm gonna try this so hard. I conjured together a bunch of mods in order to make myself an adventuring/exploring world, and this is one of them: I'll report any bug or crash I might encounter does this count as being a tester?

1.7.2 and 1.7.10 are two completely different versions. You have to update to 1.7.10. There is no version of this mod for 1.7.2
Did you even read my post?! I said I dont have the mod installed anymore and it still doesn't work! I UNINSTALLED it . So I'm in forge 1.7.2 without that mod anymore and it still doesn't work!

I'm having a mod made called Hero's Destiny, previously known as the Why Not mod. Please show support!

So you're saying you're using a forge version 1.7.2 with no mods and minecraft? isn't working? In that case you should remove that profile and re-install forge. If that doesn't work you need to look for help with minecraft and/or forge, not post in this thread.

Scout FreddyHair back to report! I got a couple bugs ( ) to make you aware of, is there a bug tracker or where should I report them?
I think Spiders aren't insects nor bugs. Flys are bugs. And try Openeye.

Yeah, I know, they're arachnids, but they're the closest thing to a bug in the emoticons since there's no Silverfish
I thought OpenEye would only report crashes. Gonna go there and check. Thanks EDIT: couldn't find any way to report bugs on OpenEye, but I found the link to an issue tracker on OP. Whoops.

Thanks FreddyHair!
I'm reviewing the code at the moment.
I can't compromise but perhaps I can push out an update for next week with fixes and some content.
The chicken backpack takes like 5 minutes before the first egg, more or less. It's random. Same for the pig. For you impatient people out there.
Could there be a upgrade or something to expand the inventory space by a little bit. I don't mean make it as big as a chest, but just a little more since there are only 4 spaces not counting the two tool slots.

Inventory is going to be 12 slots for all backpacks, plus the 2 tool slots.
I've got a suggestion: what if, instead of working your head around NEI, you just make an in-game guide about how to make all backpacks? Just like Tinkers' Construct, Thaumcraft and OpenBlocks.
EDIT: Second suggestion: maybe the chest backpack ability could either be to have a lot more inventory space than the other ones or to sometimes summon a random tipe of chest (blacksmith, jungle temple, desert temple...). Of course in the latter case you should make it waaay expensive; could it be a structure tipe of summoning? Like you surround the placed backpack with 8 separate chests (so you should make 4 chests and 4 trapped chests) and put a diamond in every chest, then right-click the backpack with a special tool and it'd destroy every chest (taking the diamonds). The backpack would then morph into one of the above chests, so that if you wanna use the ability again you must re-craft it.
The sheep backpack could drop wool every once in a while if you've got shears in the backpack, but they should take damage every time, while the spider could drop string and/or let you climb over small walls.

To be honest, I don't have the slightest idea about how to accomplish a book guide. That said, I didn't have the slightest idea of how to do any of this in the first place, so maybe isn't that hard. But maybe NEI is easier to work with. I've seen chickenbones' code (hell, I use a bit of it) and because he is incredibly talented, his code is beyond my comprehension sometimes, but a lot of people have made NEI plug-ins before.
On the other hand, I could simply make a crapload of code (instead the neat, 100 lines or so) for every backpack recipe and let it rest.
About the abilities, I've seen a couple of videos that make great suggestions. Some I had in mind myself.
The spider backpack, when I get to wrap my head around all the things that need to be done, is going to be awesome, and much more expensive.
Pigman, Chest, Dragon, Sheep, Zombie, Red/Brown mushroom, Mooshroom, and Blaze are getting abilities.
Stumbled across this Mod on its Curse site while looking for some new Armor/Tool/etc. type mods. Love it, since I never seem to have enough space on my hotbar for all the TiC tools I routinely use (namely 2 kinds of picks, a shovel, axe, and sword, as well as both a Hammer and Excavator), I now just load it all in the backpack, and scroll-wheel what I need. That it's also a bed and a crafting table means I have 2 more free inventory slots, as well as a way of hauling out lava whenever my Smeltry needs to be refilled.
Amazing mod; Its now a part of my private selection of mods permanently!
Hope you reply and update it soon.

Does anyone else have this issue?
And hoping this mod has more inventory space in the future. I can see this becoming a modpack favorite.

About 5 or 6 new backpacks are also coming.
