Realms of Chaos 1.1.1
Have you ever gotten bored with a Minecraft world because you felt that you had collected all the items and explored all the structures and dimensions? Have you been looking for a mod that makes Minecraft seem more "endless"? Well look no further! Realms of Chaos is a huge adventure mod which adds, items, blocks, mobs, and even dimensions. It currently has 8 new material sets to collect, as well as some new items made of vanilla materials. The mod it still a work in progress, and updates will be released periodically with new features and bug fixes. See below for more information.
Now updated to 1.8!
Known Bugs:
The water portal blocks do not render (due to 1.8 rendering changes). All of the armor sets have 240 durability. The water portal sometimes crashed the game when used.
Download:
The latest version of the mod is 1.1.1 for Minecraft 1.8. It was compiled for Forge 10.14.0.1252. Download it here.
An old version (Alpha 1.0) for 1.7.10 is available here.

The mod was developed by Eternaldoom, and most of the textures were made by LegoShokwave123. ExtremeSquid also made some textures.
Source Code:
The mod is distributed under the GNU General public license. The source code is available on Github at https://github.com/Eternaldoom/Realms-of-Chaos. Feel free to write a pull request if you would like a new feature to be added.

just like any other FML/Forge mod. Put the jar in the mods folder, and get the FML installer from files.minecraftforge.net/fml. Get the latest 1.8 version.
If you've tried the mod, tell me what you think of it! Feel free to suggest features.
great work looks good
I have been working at the problem of modding for 1.8 for a while i just cant understand the new blockmodels.
Like i can make them thats easy but i cant get forge to load them as a block in minecraft.

In the world, or in you inventory? It should be ok in the world, but you have to register it for meshing in the inventory. Look at my github repo. If that doesnt work or it isn't rendering in the world, open a topic in modder support on the forge forums, and I can help you.

Are you using 1.7.10 or 1.8? If it's 1.8, wait a couple of weeks and I can fully update to support forge. The dimensions don't work yet since the 1.8 version was created using FML.

The portals should work. For the ocean portal, be sure that you are using stone bricks, not silverfish eggs. Note that due to a forge bug the ocean portal blocks will not render, but the portal will still work. For the ice ruins portal, you just need to build it quickly. I might change it though in a future version of the mod.
Ok got the Frozen Ruins one to work LOL you do have to be very quick.
For the Ocean Portal I built it and was able to go into it, but the the game just hangs are the screen saying Downloading Terrain. Then I force close MC and when I load the game I fall out of the world and die. I tried the portal again and it got stuck at the Downloading Terrain screen again.
. Now maybe this is because of other mods I am running? (Infernal mobs, and mineralogy mods)
I will keep playing around with it, and see if I can get it to work.
Yeah ocean portal doesnt work it gets stuck at downloading then if you rejoin u fall out of the world. Also its kind of bland would be cool if there was more dungeons in it or something like Atlantis maybe add some more land, water monsters, ships? Maybe add mobs to your mod for the dimensions where mobs roam the lands, ocean.

I have not been able to get the portals to work yet. Do I need to be running the version of Forge that you compiled them in?
I have been using 11.14.0.1262 for 1.8.
Also how do you get the ice not to melt for the Frozen Ruins portal with the compressed lava blocks?
