First off, this is an awesome mod. There aren't many Harry Potter mods out there. The only notable ones are FlooCraft for Floo Powder and QuidCraft for Quidditch. It's good to see someone focusing on bringing the most important part of the universe to Minecraft -- the wands and magic. Reading through your ambitions for the mod like making mobs from the universe and all the other stuff, I can see this mod being as big as the Lord of the Rings mod, Divine RPG, Shadow World, ect.
A couple of bugs I found.
-Verdimillious and Periculum crash clients running Forge1.7.2-10.12.2.1121 (the recommended version).
-Not sure what caused this but at one point, left clicking stopped working for putting out fires and breaking blocks. It also turned my right click to placing down sand (in survival mode -- and I wasn't holding sand).
I wish you the best of luck in developing this mod! If you need any help graphically, feel free to leave me a message.
Pretty good. 0.0.5 is in progress, and while it won't have quite such a magnificent changelog as 0.0.4, it will include a major feature that has been planned from the start.

Thanks! I have loved working on this mod as a massive HP fan, and the awesome support has just blown me away.
Bug #1: Yeah, I hate that. I'm trying to fix it, may be fixed in 0.0.5 or may be later, not sure.
Bug #2: I have no idea. Were you using any other mods?
I don't currently need any texture help, but I'll be sure to drop you a line =)

The only mods I was running were Forge and this one. It said that I had 6 installed though. 3 from Forge and 3 others that I assume you use as your cores, including Treecapitator.

Ah, yes, sorry about that.... I have multiple mods in the same workspace and sometimes I forget to remove them.

It's cool. People recycle mods to make their own. Everything is open source. That's how we learn to mod like this. That's what's great about Minecraft. They didn't make it incredibly difficult to go into the script and check it out -- in fact Mojang encourages it. As you grow in coding, you'll learn you may still need to rely on other mods to give you an idea of how to make your own and maybe even use them as a part of your own mod. Kinda like Not Enough Items and all of those Rei's Minimap ripoffs. In Zan's Minimap (just a better version of Rei's), when running the mod, there is still a folder named "Rei's Minimap".
You may actually want to check out other mods. They may give you an idea of extra things you can add or spells you didn't think of. Like if you add some of the animals from Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them, you may want to check out Mo' Creatures or something to figure out the AIs. For example, coding for a Hippogriff may be confusing, so using a Pegasus's AI and tweaking it (making it eat crows or something) may give you the desired result.

Actually, what I was saying is I have multiple mods of my own creation in my workspace and I sometimes forget to remove them. Slight problem with working on multiple mods in the same workspace.
0.0.5 is currently in heavy development, and if school allows should be out sometime this week or early next week. This update will really raise the tone of the mod, and I think it may be the best (if not biggest) update yet. Stay tuned!
Really, really close =) Just a couple more things I want to get done, and school is being murder right now so I'm short on time. Should be out over the weekend (I hope).
ohh and you should add expecto potronum and make dementors or something
I have thought about that... Unfortunately I have no experience with entities so far, and so I don't know how soon that'll happen. I am trying to figure it out.
are you close to realeasing ? sorry if im being daft and you said something
Not daft at all =) Unfortunately, I couldn't release it as soon as I expected due to a couple major bugs. It should be out in the next couple days if I have time to fix them.
I'll try, but I'm not sure if I can make that work. I'll see what I can do, though, I think that'd be awesome =)
Not quite sure what you mean... Could you clarify?
