Hey Im making a large-ish build and I was wondering if this is stable enough to use in the world and not have to backup the save every so often incase it breaks the save. Im using 1.6.4 due to other mods so ill be using the 1.6.4 build if there is one.

Generally the mod does not seem to break worlds. However I'd not recommend using it without keeping backups (as stated in the main post). Also there is no 1.6 build. If you really want to use this mod please update. There will be no backporting for this mod.

I'm kind of in a pickle. I used this mod for the first time this evening. I placed a camera on the wall and it didn't show up. A second later the server crashed. After restarting the server I came back on and the camera was on the wall. While in creative mode I tried destroying it. Nothing happened. A second the server crashed again. Three more times and the same result. I tried removing the mod and restarting the server but it gives an error about missing blocks/items from this mod and it freezes. I added the mod back, but I'm still stuck with a camera that I can't remove. Here's the latest crash log. Hope you can help.
They already do have a range. However it's sadly quite high in the first version of the mod. But as I mentioned in the main post the mod is still in early development and needs a lot of balancing to be 100% useable.
does the bots kill mobs e.g cave spiders, endermen, skeleton etc
Yes Security Bots do attack hostile mobs if the right camera type is being used. Please note though that this changes slightly in the upcoming version.

Sorry about that! This error is known already as MCBD-13 and has been fixed a while back. However I did not publish the fixed version officially yet as it lacks some core features of the mod. Sadly I had to pause the work on the mod for a while as I had to deal with some family related business (I guess I don't have to go into further detail about it).

There is no point in supporting a Version which is nearly a year old now. So no there will be no 1.6.4 version of this mod (as stated earlier). Please just be patient and wait for the rest of the mods to update when you want to use this mod in some pre-made modpack.
COOL MOD! I LOOK FORWARD TO FOLLOWING IT IN ITS DEVELOPMENT! Hey, do you plan on adding screens that the cameras broadcast to? Kind of like that old mod The CCTV Mod?
Can you make a monitor so that you can actually see the images from the camera? (I have spent HOURS looking for a mod that has that and no such mod exists.)

Well, the version that is "nearly a year old now" is also the most used version by those who play with mods.
Also could you add a monitor that views all camera connected to it and a control system for the bots so they don't kill teammates while you're adding them to the system.

As stated before: Im planning on adding that feature at some point (if possible). However that's far away especially in the current speed I'm working on.

That's nice and all but it will not stay that way. Neither is it fun for me to work with 1.6 which is the most important fact I'm considering when working on a project like that.

Well I have planned on doing some kind of alarm state system which could also allow blacklisting rather than whitelisting. However I've delayed the next version release further due to recent events within the community.
Is the sand+paper = sandpaper suppose to work? I came looking on here because of the Glass Lens issue and I see where you said it's suppose to use sandpaper now. I saw the image and tried crafting it, but it didn't work. Is that still something in development? Once I can make that, I think I'm set. Mod looks great so far, you're doing an awesome job!
Went in creative and didn't see sandpaper, so guess I answered my own question. Keep up the good work though, look forward to a working survival version!
