This add-on is called BuildTech and it is for BuildCraft. It makes things like gears and BuildCraft machines harder to make and requires more effort in order to achieve anything in the BuildCraft game.
The current version of the add-on is available for BuildCraft 7.2.0 and up.
ATTENTION: This mod has been re-started after 2 years of inactivity, so keep in mind that the amount of play-ability in the add-on isn't as much as you've been expecting, but in future updates from now on, there will be new items and blocks as well as machines to explore.

For those of you who would love to have this mod be on a public modpack, you will have to abide by my form of modpack license:
1.No making profit from the modpack you are creating, this is totally unacceptable and I WILL have it removed from the modpack ASAP if I do learn that this is happening!

I guess you have the right to be confused xD It is just barely version 1, it's just 0.1.0a , there is still lots to be added like alternative MJ producers and pollution This is just a kick starter to it (also note that BC is Pre-Alpha too). Right now I am just configuring and replacing the recipes that Buildcraft has to make it a bit harder
Thanks, I will be making more changes to the other blocks/items in BC in the hard mode configs, I am also going to be planning for more things in the BuildTech mod itself, other than nerfing recipes, if anyone has suggestions, feel free to list them in the forums as they may be included into the addon either the next update or updates to come
Well... In a way, yes, basically, BuildTech can't be updated because of how heavily it depended on BCs' MJ source, so that was a mistake on my part, also, it was confusing how I setup the recipes for the machines, as well as the machines being extremely buggy, so I'm restarting this project and having it under a new name and I will be releasing a public alpha release for it in the coming days, maybe next week at the most, other than that, you'll just have to wait. But hey, atleast you don't need to get annoyed by the buggy machines, right?
