I'd like to add the 1.6.4 version of your mod to my modpack, Minecraft in Armidan, the Rise of Iniquix. I see no official license or permission statement in the OP. I'm on 1.6.4 because the contest I'm entering, JamPacked, depends on a mod, Hardcore Questing Mode, that has yet to update to 1.7. Something to think about, or just implement Apache, LPGL, or BSD if you prefer.

so will this mod ever be made ? and if so will it still be 1.6.4 ? Its been in the works for over 6 months now and forge has moved on to 1.7.10 also applied energistics has updated to 1.7.10 and thaumcraft will be 1.7.10 too soon.

i agree with AusSoarer. most of us mod players want the mod and have been waiting yet it hasnt even come out while everything is pretty much on 1.7 already. at least release a beta version to the public and if theres a bug or something then we can either keep playing, wait for another update, or remove from our lists. btw a great suggestion RELEASE THE ADDON IN PIECES! if you hold back the addon until its done then no one will want it becuase they have lost interest. look at botania for example, in 1.6 there was the basic system then in 1.7 was introduced all the advanced stuff
And Botania was created by a prodigal 16 year old who has been creating mods since he was at least 14, if not earlier. It's not even fair to even attempt to compare the two. If they want to make this as perfect as possible for 1.6.4, let them. People need to stop whining because someone wants to put out a mod that's as bugless as possible. You know what doing stuff like this does? It makes them lose the motivation to even try because the people that they're trying to do this for are ungrateful as ****.
Modding isn't easy. So either wait patiently like the rest of us, or go off and bug someone who'll jump when you say jump... if you can find them, that is.
I'm not trying to be rude, I'm just constantly annoyed by people who demand things that they don't even pay for like they deserve it. I stand behind the modders and their attempts to add creative and fun aspects to this game we play. We should be far more appreciative that they're willing to take time out of their lives to even do this.
I don't know if this is in vanilla Thaumcraft/TiCon but I think you should add a config option that changes the Pickaxe of the Core's (and the other Thaumcraft magic tools and weapons) recipe to use an entirely thaumium TiCon pickaxe 'cause having to craft thaumium tools the normal way kind of breaks the experience if you have the vanilla tool recipes turned off. Also an Infernal Smeltery would be indeed AMAZING 'cause there's no reason in using the InfernalFurnace if you have an ore-doubling Smeltery. An Arcane Crafting Terminal would also be cool.
EDIT: Of course, you should add aspects to the tools so I can still get more instrumentum, prefordio, meto and the other aspects regular tools have (that might be a bit to much tho, I'm not asking you to give aspects to every different tool combinations just maybe based on the tool's head material or something)

could you maybe add a config option to disable and enable certain parts of the mod.
ex: I only want the TiC integration because my mod pack doesn't have the other mods in it.
The flexibility in our code automatically switches on and off certain features of the mod if a mod is existent or not.
Thaumcraft is still a required, though.
And other news:
The release we're going to make (soon™) is going to have:
> Void Touch
> Core Touch
> AE Essentia Cells
> Essentia Terminal
> Import/Export/Storage
> And most importantly, MASHED POTATOES!
And then we're stopping there and moving to 1.7.10 development.
thank you at least for the update. sorry to seem rude before but it just didnt seem right that we dont even really get updates. well that and i was probably really tired when i wrote that. once again sorry for rudeness. anyway i do like where you are going with this addon, especially the ME essentia storage (thats gonna be fun to have
will you still try to support 1.6.4 when you move on to 1.7.10? i'd really love to play with all of this mods features with my current 1.6.4 mod pack, and i probably won't update to a newer minecraft version until 1.8, because most of the mods that i use haven't updated to 1.7 yet...
So, what about the "ME Infusion Reception Bus"? That was my biggest reason reason for watching this mod as closely as I have... I don't mean to be rude but that's just too big a part to get us all hyped up about, just to leave it out. -sigh-

this is why i hate 1.7, for one, it takes a really long time for mods to update, and two, modders that do update, they usually drop support for 1.6.4.
Waiting for all the mods we love to cross over is folly because they won't, and this mod is too potentially useful to hobble with an outdated version of the game. My knee-jerk reaction to upgrade is not to as well, because I spent so much time assembling my private modpack. They get exponentially easier to build with Forge on 1.7.10 however; the closest to drag-and-drop it's ever been, and I'm pretty excited to actually start a pack. The switch to 1.7 probably will require a new world anyway, and there's nothing stopping you from playing 1.6 forever. I still dabble in an old beta 1.6.6 world I made years (!) ago.
I think I'd rather see a release for 1.6.4 (and a bugfix or two) with full dev attention on 1.7.10 - all the mods we use now on 1.6.4 will either update or they'll die, same as it's always been. Maybe backporting some of the less complicated content when there's a lull in new stuff being added? That being said, I too am on 1.6.4 and am quite excited for the list of features posted for first release.

i kind of hope he back ports the major 1.7.10 features to 1.6.4. and honestly, if it wasn't for the aether 2, i'd be on 1.7 right now, but they are far off from a 1.7 release, as their beta release (mutation) will also be for 1.6.4. so it looks like i'll be stuck on 1.6 for a while... and btw, you think it's not good for mods to stay in older versions? look at the aether 2, it took them a year to update from 1.6.2 to 1.6.4...
oh and i think that it should be modular like project red, instead of a config
this mod isn't even released yet...

And now to return to my happy place.
I fell similarly. Thus, this thread: http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/minecraft-mods/requests-ideas-for-mods/2172612-mod-request-tinkers-construct-inter-mod-weapon#c2
it would be nice to get a status update though.

aww.. so the 1.6.4 players won't get to experience the "full" mod? *sigh* good bye mashed potatoes...
oops, And potatoes! Potatoes, for 1.6.4 too!
