Will the model be the same as the original mod, or something more regular-skin-friendly like Noppes' Arachne model? I think the original author might have said he was using the same one (if I remember correctly) but I don't know if that was subject to change.

Also, there will be no more additions to the development team, nor will any ideas be reviewed and accepted at this time. Spider Queen will be restored to its original functionality (without ants, bees, etc.) FIRST, then the mod will be expanded.
Whoa. That looks even better than I imagined! I can't wait to play it! Also, two small suggestions: toggle option for humans. Lets you choose if the player skin appears or just the default skin. And two: instead of turning captured living mobs into items to move them, you have to carry the entity around. That means you can only carry one at a time, but the carrier spider can carry one cocooned mob as well.

1: Webbing should be more visible when flying through the air, and should be flat unless you shoot it twice (like in the original).
2: Multiplayer or just aesthetic aspects would be interesting as well, I'd like to make my own skin for the queen/king. It would also be interesting for a player to choose to be a half-spider or all human. (by the way will the spider king skin/model be in?)
3: If there would be a Spider KING part of the mod, it would be cool to need another queen or player queen to lay the eggs for you, because, well, you know.
4: You should be able to climb things without web, but at 0.5x speed. The reason for this is that you are a spider, but a heavier one. (maybe the climbing quickness would go: Web: 2.0x, ladders: vanilla speed, vines: vanilla speed, and when you have nothing it is 0.5x)
5: In addition to number 2, do you think you could post a template if you are able to make custom spider queen/king skins available?

I really like that skin idea, and I think that something similar will be implemented later on. As for the "spider king"...no. There is no gender (or only one gender) in Minecraft, and I know it's "The Spider Queen" mod and all, but that's beyond the point. That would not be very fitting in the mod, and needlessly over complicate it. Even though you are the spider "queen" you're still a genderless (or both gendered?) creature. However, as there are rival queens, there should be rival "kings" as well, but both act the same, just a texture difference. I agree with you on everything else, though.
