Its wonderful to have something to test around with, hmm? For those testing this out, here are some bugs you can expect to find.
-When you "bite" some webbed mobs, their textures turn into the purple and black checkers. webbed cows have no textures.
- Zombie pigmen turn into zombies when webbed, as well mooshrooms into cows.
-Smashing a web makes a dirt sound (thanks magma)
- Creepers have no "bitten" texture.
-full webs do not give you speed and you cant climb on them(possibly intentional)
However, there are also Lots of other fun things you can do with webs. Try experimenting! And please, if you find bugs, post them on the fourm so they can be fixed. Thanks!
just came here to report half thoughs things. also can you please contact me i have been waiting forever.
Some bugs(I think) that I found:
Full webbing takes at least 3 shots at blank surface to make, and sometimes take as much as 7 to make.
Full webbing acts funny l cannot place blocks on it, or cannot use bukets, or spawneggs.
most mobs cannot be webbed.
Un-webbable mobs are bat, witch, villager, slime, magmacube, blaze, horse, donkey, silverfish, endermen, wolfs and ocelots(both wild and tamed), ghast, and squids.
Wither skeletons can be webbed, but like the zombie pigmen, they turn into webbed skeletons.
Randomly, webbing does not shoot even if you try to fire it. (I think it's because it hits you and dissapears)
But also, I have found a few non-cute bugs of my own:
-Webbing, when thrown, can act crazy sometimes. It seems that it likes to stick to the user, and not actually be thrown. However, most of the time it works properly.
-It can occasionally take a lot of webbing to catch a mob, while most times it just takes one (not sure if this is intended or not)
-You still have your normal texture and character model, even though there is a spider queen texture (probably intended)
-You don't make webbing by eating normal food, you can only get more webbing if you bite a cocooned mob.
-A few textures are broken, some are the black and purple missing texture, while all other textures have the head of the captured mobs poking out of the cocoon seem to be off centered (an easy texture fix)
-Spiders are hostile to you
-When a cocooned mob is destroyed, it drops a boat.
Other than that, it seems that this mod is working great!
Also, what will the next module be? Hopefully the one where you can implant eggs in captured mobs and the baby spider "inherits" that mob's traits.
To finish this off, I have a suggestion: once a mob is webbed, you should be able to carry it around, such as taking it to your web nest where it can safely be implanted with eggs or kept as food for later. What I mean is that the mob will NOT be turned into an item, but you just carry the entity itself around. Also, you can only carry one cocooned mob around at a time, and while carrying it, all you can do it move, climb web, and jump. You will have to put it down if you want to fight, eat, place a block, etc.

I'm pretty sure you craft webbing via string(although eating food did give string in the original)
And I'm about 99% certain that all hostiles, including spiders are hostile to you. The only non-hostiles will be spiders you hatch, and since we can't do that right now, all spiders are hostile
Some random pondering, none of the following should be taken as fact:
When you hatch an egg, you get 2 - 8 random baby (very small) spider, these spiders will then feed on cocoons to get certain traits, these traits let them do various things, zombie - strength, horse - speed/able to ride or villager - harvest wheat. things like that.
Most spiders will have low health, they will die a lot but be easy to replace.
Very rare spiders can occur that have some.. special properties.
Again, nothing said here is a promise, just random late night thoughts.
Are we going to be some kind of Human/Spider hybrid or a big spider that has several appearance differences?
(I'd like the latter the most) But my petty questions aside, the mod looks like it would be a load of fun, but I think that you being against everyone but spiders wouldn't have any real impact on the gameplay. I think you should have human mobs that would go mining and possibly even hunt you down and trade with villagers. That would be huge for a mod like this and would make it extremely addicting.

The reason Godzilla 2014 failed was because there was no Mothra in it.
Mothra is the only reason Godzilla is good. Mothra saved the movie industry. If Mothra never existed nobody would like movies. The reason many people hate Call of Duty is because it lacks Mothra.
I changed my name to MothraFanboy27.

I think that's what the original was aiming for, but this is currently too early in development for something that big. Got to lay the framework first.

How adorable.
Aww!

what is that?
At least you tired, I'm waaay to lazy to, so I'm waiting for someone to decode it for me
Pet spiders soon, I'm experimenting with fun ways to revamp them.
Fun, eh?
I'll look forward to it.

Different models, skins, sizes and health.
