I can give you the specs, I'm also willing to help test if you tell me what you need (and how to do it for some things)
Would you profile it with VisualVM?
Its a simple & easy profiling tool.
Taking the proflie sample snapshot is very easy.
Just run modded mc to profile, and run the VisualVM.
Simply select the minecraft related application in Local and on Sampler tab, pressing CPU button gives the sampling result on performance.
Playing in minecraft for a while is needed to gather the data.
After that, Click snapshot and export it using button 'export to...' on upleft side. The exported file would be so much helpful to investigate and resolve the performance issue!

When ready stellarium to create planets and solar systems?
Sorry, I couldn't fix the ETA. Plans has changed to support systems of galaxy and more, and it needs Stellar API rewrite first.
Sorry again for not notifying this change.

I'm having a bit of an issue with the day and night skies displaying correctly, it appears that large rectangular off-color sections appear, mostly in the northern half of the sky, and seem to disappear and reappear based whether the cursor is over them or not. I've tried playing with various versions of Stellar Sky and Stellar API, Forge, Minecraft 1.9, 1.9.4, and 1.10. I've tried it with and without other mods (including Optifine) or resource packs, and am at a complete loss as to how to rectify the issue!
I absolutely love the idea of Stellar Sky, and am most anxious to get it working properly, so any suggestions are quite welcome!

Hello and thank you for another great educational mod for my 1.7.10 pack, "Reign". I'm working with Stellar Sky-0.1.5.7 and Stellar API-0.1.3.8. They're working well - functionally great. There's just one thing that's bugging me slightly and my astronomy isn't good enough to know which setting is responsible for it. It's related to atmosphere - possibly to the height or "thickness" of the atmosphere. It affects the image of the landscape past a certain distance, making features appear white-ish. The effect is also visible at night, which is somewhat annoying as it tends to make trees at distance more visible than trees near by. I'm using hardcore darkness as well and without Stellar Sky, I can hardly see a thing at night when looking towards the horizon. This inky blackness makes the sky stand out, but it also helps for gameplay.
With Stellar Sky, I get the effect that I've tried to convey with the attached pictures. By flying up to y=148, I'm above the haze and can see the trees below me, however descending to about y=128, I'm in the middle of the haze, both looking towards the horizon and straight at the ground. I'm unsure what I can do at this stage. There are a heap of settings in the CelestialSettings.cfg that I think relate to what I'm seeing. I'm just not sure which one/s to alter.

I'm really sorry, that 1.7.10 support had dropped.
But this might also be problem on 1.9+.
Does the haze appear only with Stellar Sky? Also what mods are you using?
