Take all the time you need! As long as you get some progress done though
Let's just say I already have 2 of 3 models already built for the first tamable update I want to release. o3o But what I want to do with them requires designing customer GUI's. I want to practice custom GUI's for Alpha 0.6 on blocks.
how about a kind of "corrupt" pokeball you can use to capture the corrupt Pokemon?
Nope! I do not intend on adding a way to catch corrupt Pokemon. In fact, I don't plan on adding a "capture" method at all. There will be other means to tame tamable Pokemon. ^^

I am not quite sure why people get so thrilled over the Starcraft II references in this mod. xD
Amazing what that obnoxious algebra they teach in high school can do with animations, no? It looks like you are a modeler yourself. You have some nice designs there. ^^

Thanks
And yeah, Algebra is the last thing in the math field that I consider to be useful that they teach.
Also, do you know about Tabula? http://ichun.us/mods/tabula-minecraft-modeler/
Once the animations are exportable, just imagine the possibilities with modeling. XD
Thanks

No, I have never heard of Tabula. It certainly looks really cool. Looks like something I wish had existed 18 months ago around the time I started writing my animation code. xD
Although at the same time I think there will be some things my code can do better than Tabula so I have no regrets. Do I think people should use my code? Nope, not at all. It is very difficult to use and the person has to be extremely good at Algebra. I would tell anyone to use the AnimationAPI over my code if I had released it as Open Source by now.
Plus I am suspicious that there are some vanilla Minecraft things that would make my life easier if I had known they existed. Like I hear the term "Child Parts" sometimes and I don't know what people are talking about.
You can make models now, and export them into Java classes, but the animations are still a WIP.
The animations working, so you can experiment with it, but they aren't exportable yet.
Soon though!
Hmm... that is good enough for me. That is probably the most I will ever need from that program. I've badly wanted hotkey commands with Techne and that would be simply amazing to have that option. I could build models so much faster.
The only drawback is that I sometimes work on the mod at a work computer at one of my jobs during small bits of downtime. Since Techne does not need Minecraft to run, I have it hidden somewhere where others are not likely to find it. Moving to Tabula would probably remove my ability to do basic modeling or more importantly, texturing.
I will think about it some more and maybe some ways around that.
I figured I might show this thing even though it won't be added for quite a while.
Below is Crackling Nincada, a retexturing of Raptor Zergling Nincada.
Texture wise, it is very different from the Raptor as that one is more green and brown.I want to add this as an unconventional mini-boss mob. Frail but with incredible speed and damage output. How deadly this would be will depend on which AI I pick. I would consider either a copy paste of the regular Raptor type which allows it to actually pounce on a player instead of just leaping at the player or I would choose an AI like Armored Shinx. And as we all know from playing this mod, that mob is difficult to hit as it blitzes around the field.
If you do not know, this is a Starcraft II reference mob.
I have posted this before but here is the original versions of this model:
Good grief this is taking forever to do this block on the right, the Micro Filter. I have not set it down in stone but this block will boost ore production using fuel produced from the block on the left, the Vespene Condenser.
I have been going through ScratchForFun's modding tutorial over custom furnace. It has taken so fricken' long to set this up (I am currently on part 17; he is very very in depth on what the code does). And I have yet to make it do anything mod specific.
Yah... the modeling and animation was defiantly the easy part of these blocks... c.c
Like I have been telling people, the main purpose of coding these blocks is to learn about custom Gui's and Inventories. Very important for what I want to do with Tamables, whenever I get to them.
I have a new found respect for the developers of Industrial Craft. These blocks are harder than most any mob I have programmed before. And I am not even using electrical power for them. I really wish I had someone to do this stuff for me. But this is all supposed to be a learned experience after all.

Sounds awsum :3
Looks awsum (again X3)
Second, Amazing animations!!!!
Third, I love this mod, everything about it is so awesomely creepy. I love that spine chilling feeling I get from traveling at night now.

Really? Even the sounds work? That is incredible. o.o I will have to try it myself when I have some time to look into it.
So this one is something for Alpha 0.6.
Wow!
Amazing work!

Say, does that Tabula thing work right now? Like, could I do the Techne stuff I do now with it? Or is it still a WIP?

Who's that pokemon?(No seriously I can't tell):P
Krill13's Models
Ekans. :3 It is a little easier to tell in game since since the tail looks like it is rattling (or at least I tried to).

Here is the WIP so far of the Micro Filter:
So far, it looks like a furnace on steroids
