this is looking pretty good, I just hoping that you guys will be able to release this thing before 1.7 so that I wont have to wait even longer to have a chat with cupa.
cute mob models does indeed use modloader, but it doesn't change any of the vanilla classes, so it works just fine on forge.
i updated it to 1.6.2 recently too, i wonder how will this mod work with it. will it recognize the replaced mobs, or treat them as different ones and look for a different script.
I wonder about that too Currently we rely on the internal entity name (non-localized) instead of classes. Since CuteMobModels uses the same internal names we should recognize them.

The really big changes to Minecraft were done with 1.6, so updating it to 1.7 (currently) doesn't seem to be a problem.
A lot of mods are still struggling with updating to 1.6, but we used it from the start
Still, we plan to get a preview version out by the end of this week, so you can all start hacking up some scripts!
it'd be kind of funny if the creeper blew up and killed you while you introduce yourself.
While that CAN happend if you anger Cupa enough, creatures generally stop doing anything as soon as you start a conversation.
Script authors can do their own checks though if they want to allow you to talk with their creature right now, so Cupa could decline a conversation entirely and blow you up instead
Other creatures can still interrupt your conversation, so be prepared for Cupa blowing you up while you flirt with Andr!

It was created by us about a year ago.
I could tell them to update the pages if you like.
I know about that wiki
But since about everything is different in MobTalker2, we think it's easier to start from scratch, like we did with the mod itself. Relevant content will be pulled over, and account creation and editing will be allowed in the comming days.
We'll also host a dedicated forum and a special site to publish your scripts to if the demand gets high enough.

Should I inform them about the new wiki then? And maybe close the current one?
I think we should wait with closing it until we move with this thread over to the normal mod forum and we have the first release version done.
Informing can never hurt though.
I'll try my best then, most of them in the wiki do nothing but RP in the chat nowadays.
The wiki is rarely updated too. So it would be best if a new forum or wiki is made. (Don't forget to have an IRC chat for them too!)
Hi your mod looks amazing and can i make a mod review and please i really need video ideas i do quality videos and well i like your mod.
but if you want in like 2 hours skype me
Skype! : junkmortha/craftingffa
but remember you need to put it on the main thread of the mod.
Here is one of my videos i do much better when actually playing mods.
So what do you need to complete before the first release?
Like xs2007 said, only squashing bugs and testing, more like a QA phase. If you take a close look at the Wiki, it says that on Sunday we'll release the first alpha

I completely overlooked that before.
I once developed World Of Warcraft AddOns on CF and we might use it again to distribute our files. We're not sure about that yet.

Quite sure that this will be possible, since we already plan to allow multiple textures in different locations.
