With the help of Oracion38, we are beginning coding of monster craft's core code. Oracion will be helping us with the Magic Circle Code, as well as the base Monster Code, which will be used for all the monsters. We have also gotten a lot of support, and gained a new Coder, as well as a Modeler (and a few other guest modelers). with all of this i can happily say monster craft is reaching the point where this mod will soon become a reality. that being said, we are in need of a bigger team. we have a few people, but we need many more, as we have many big plans for the mod.
CODERS
Oracion38 was kind enough to offer to get the major code for the first release out of the way, however he has other projects he has to work on, and will not be able to help out much after this. so we are in need of skilled coders that can program very complicated stuff, such as gui's and complicated new features. this mod has many things planned for it. things such as
-New Dimensions and biomes, with unique ores, blocks, mobs, and generated structures.
-a special dimension that is an never ending dungeon, full of rare loot and many monsters and challenges.
-npcs, a money and shop system, the building of kingdoms
-new bosses and monsters (a given)
-even a development version of the mod, which can be used for people to make extensions that add monster of their own, or monster that we will not add.
-new weapons, items, armors, tools, and other things to help you on your quest.
MODELERS
we aim to add many new monsters to minecraft with this mod. the amount we will add is unknown, as there are hundreds of monsters in myth and legend. however, at some point we will run out of mythical monsters, so we will need people to help us come up with original ones. this is where our modelers will come in, as they will be responsible for creating brand new monsters that we can add in each update. these monsters would be unique, original, and of many different shapes and sizes. they could be normal monsters, or bosses. they could be anything. to keep the mod interesting, we will need to add monsters like this in each update.
BUILDERS
going with the new worlds and biomes, there is also gonna be a lot of new world gen. many new structures will be added, many dungeons, but others will be things such as villages, boss rooms, treasurer rooms, and much more. we will need people to build these for us, so they can be added in. that is where our builder will come in. they will build many of the structures that spawn in monster craft.
TEXTURE ARTIST
with many new blocks, monsters and items being added, we will need people to texture them. these textures will help give the game its feel, and will help distinguish it from other mods. we will need people who can create great designs that will wow players and give the game its unique touch.

Monster Craft is a mod i am trying to get made. like the name suggest monster craft will add a variety of new monsters to mine craft which can be fought. the monsters will drop items, which when placed in a magic circle, will bring them to life, and thus give you a tamed monster. by combining 2 items at once, or by combining a monster and another item, you can get even more monsters. we will aim monsters to be trainable, with their own gui's. monsters will start out weak, but will level up and become strong the more they fight. we also plan to add many "Monster Bosses" which will be much stronger than most monsters, and when defeated, drop a unique item that will let you create them.

list of some features and ideas planed for the mod
1. there will be many new monsters, which will get increasingly stronger as you progress. you will need your monsters, as well as upgraded tools to take on these monsters. you can level up monsters, and make them stronger. all of this leads to new purpose and challenge to that game, as you try to obtain all the monsters, defeat them all, and even take on the new bosses that will be added.
2. after the main mod is at a decent point, we will begin on extensions to the mod. one will add many new dimensions and biomes, with many different themes. this means that you will be able to go to many places, some of which will be very similar the the aether, ether, twilight forest, and many other dimension mods. another project might even add more rpg elements, such as quest, npcs, cities, and much much more. so you will end up with a much more vast and exciting experience, and because they will be extensions, if you don't want that extra stuff, you won't need to have it.
3. there will be many new things, such as fortresses in the overworld and all the dimensions, which will be filled with monsters and rare loot. conquer these fortresses, acquire the rare items, and even use them as bases.
4. all the vanilla monsters will be obtainable as well, so yes, you can have an arm of creepers. infact, you can make an arm of almost every monster in the game, spare bosses.
5. we plan to make it SMP, so you and your friends can have epic wars with all your monsters, are combine your forces to conquer the world and rule with an iron fist.
6. we also plan to make it compatible with many of the famous and well known mods out there, thus making for an even greater and more enjoyable experience.

we will accept request and ideas for monsters, but we won't do anything copyrighted or from some sort of movie or other media. however, original monsters (including made up ones) and mythical monsters/monsters of legend are accepted. so if you have an idea, then tell us.
for the most part, i'm gonna be making all the models. we might accept more modelers later on, but not right now. though, when we do start accepting new modelers, i'll keep you in mind.
right now i am going to do all the models and textures, but maybe further down the line, when we're adding in new monsters, you can help. if you really want to do something, i was thinking it would be cool for this mod to have its own texture pack. i'm working on one myself, but it doesn't really fit the mod. i was thinking of maybe something medieval/fantasy based. futher down the line, when the mod is actually released, you could start adding textures for the monsters.
As always, another great mod idea which lacks a programmer.
I'd love to help you, but first I must work on Pokecube, and I have another mod idea in mind. Oh, and my own game too.

yeah, the good news is the one programmer i have will be available soon. we've been talking about many ideas for the mod, and i've been busy making models for the mod. if all goes well, we should be able to jump into programming once lation is ready, cause i'm almost done with the required models and items needed for the first release.
i was planing to use forge, but i might try and make a vanilla version as well. it will really depend on which is easier and which plays better. we'll really have to see. at any rate, i'm gonna try to do both at one point. why do you ask?

we will not add any monsters that are copyrighted. we do have dragons though. and no, we will not add dinosaurs. there is already a mod that does that, and normal monster craft is for monsters of myth and imagination. however, after the first release, i will decide if i will let people make their own extensions that add other monsters.
I really hope this gets more noticed and i think you might be able to add Godzilla without violating copyrights
