THANK YOU for making this rewrite, it looks awsome (i love this mod)

i am sondrex but you can call me sondrex76 if somebody know a forum admin can you tell me i realy want to talk with them about why i got banned for no reason at all.
Could you give an example of the difference? I think that would help people to understand how it would look.
If the renaming is done client-side only, then the actual config files will use the full package names. If I make it server side, I'd make it so that renaming is done in the config as well.
Currently names are in this format "package.class.name". Most likely, you guys want them shortened to something like "EBXL.Forest" or "TF.OtherBiome". How much power do you want in this renaming functionality?
Will it be possible to limit by dimension/world as well i tried the previous version and it only created a config in the "default" world, running under
mcpc-plus (bukkit-forge) server. I would like to be able to prevent mo'creatures from tearing up some world but let them loose on others.
i get this crash when i try to take this mod in the servers modfolder:

would be great not sure if its because im running a mcpc-plus bukkit-forge server but individual worlds only took settings from the default world folder
And im also finding the beta wont run on the server somewhat similar to the post a few back

Fixed the server-side crash - please download beta 2.4.1 and let me know how it works.
And we'll see about the per-world configurations... there are multiple ways to go about doing this...
Would be pretty cool if there was an in-game item such as a 'bestiary' book that you can use to show the spawning information without necessarily opening the Spawn Menu with F6. Such as what types of mobs spawn in a certain biome, the frequency, and possibilty to search for which mobs spawn the most/less frequent in which biome and etc. If some people (like me) use different spawn rates for each biome to make them more unique, it would give a reason to visit certain biomes.

That's an interesting idea - perhaps I can add a similar feature after the main release.
Very nice. There is a feature like this in Mo' Creatures, but it only really works for the modded creatures. This is a rival to Risugami's (I think it was Risugami) Mob Spawner Mod.

Thanks! And I know about the feature in Mo Creatures - it's relatively new. But I believe the Mob Spawner Mod is only for editing monster spawners, no?
Creature Type setting doesn't appear to work, Tinker's Construct's Slimes have been put in the "monsters" category, but they're still spawning in/encroaching Towny towns on my server, where monsters aren't allowed.

also i cant re-edit groups
What do you mean you can't re-edit groups?

Yes, it should work just fine with BOP.
Sadly there isn't a direct way to convert them but most of it can be done with Find&Replace.
I don't believe it is but you can try it
