(There are a lot more features already planned out for this mod, they simply aren't posted yet (Which should be pretty obvious if you payed attention, lots of unknown materials are mentioned in the descriptions, and there are only four tool tiers so far even though I said 5-tier system ). They will gradually be added to this post.)
Other Stuff Modder: TutorialCon (He sometimes does textures too)
Original Idea/Texturer: DarkShadow1223
There is no download yet. Be patient, the first public version will probably be released when the five tool tiers are finished.
If you want i can mod the tier 2 items for you and i was thinking for steel instead of just iron in a blast furnace how about a blast furnace with iron around and a iron block on the top which makes an industrial blast furnace to get tier 2 items

I think TutorialCon's got it covered for modding, but thanks.I didn't really intend for the blast furnace to upgrade based on tiers (though its likely that normal furnaces will in the future). Also, steel is made by putting iron in one input slot and coal in the other, not just a piece of iron in a blast furnace.
Btw great work Tutorial (Thanks for fixing the Blast Furnace GUI, I only just realized I never put a fuel slot on it )

Looking forwards to more info on the tier tools.
Are you guys going to improve the villagers and such, making them smarter, giving them tasks such as mining, baking, and farming?

I haven't planned anything major for villagers yet, so if we do something like that it probably won't happen for a while.
I've updated the op with Tier 3 and a support banner

The mod looks amazing and I REALLY hope you guys can pull it off. I will be watching this thread with great interest.
I do have a suggestion. Instead of creating new metals maybe you could get with the creator of Metallurgy and use those metals. I only mention this because he's already done most, if not all of the ground work for the metals and you guys could concentrate on the other portions of the mod you want to work on. As my friend DenverDrew always says, "There's nothing wrong with standing on the shoulders of giants."
I know you didn't ask for my suggestion and I don't mean to offend. I just think the ground is already full or ores and spending your time on other things might get this ambitious project off the ground quicker.
Also, I noticed the blast furnace pic only has space for 3 inputs. How would one use it to make Trinate. And, Jobo100's idea is one you should look at harder. As the people found better metals to make tools they also needed better tools to smelt and shape the metal. You have a basic furnace and the blast furnace is hotter but I think you'll need to have a "smelter" for each level as well. Otherwise, as Jobo100 said, people will just skip tiers. Or, you could create a hotter fuel source and use the same blast furnace for tier 3. After that you really should have a better 'smelter' and hotter fuel as well.
I'd think tier 4 would use a multiblock blast furnace, or a bigger multiblock structure if your blast furnace is already multiblock and better fuel. For instance, one could use lava for tier 5 and a combo or nether coal and lava for tier 5. The difficulty to find the ore should dictate a similar need to find better fuel.
Ok, I think I've written enough. Again, I think this is an awesome idea and my suggestions are given in the spirit to make it better.

Thank you
While at the start of the project, your first suggestion may have been an idea I would think about, at this point with the coding that's been done and the textures that have been made it would probably be counter productive to simply drop it and merge with another mod. Also, Shadowclaimer has his own goals for metallurgy, and I would not want to get in the way of them. For another thing, as much as I love metallurgy, I don't necessarily agree with the way a few things were done in that mod (not bashing metallurgy, it's one of my favorite mods)
Their is an upgraded version of the blast furnace made with steel that has three input slots for metals
Upgraded furnaces are a possibility for the future, but if implemented may only be used as a way to smelt things more efficiently. Or they may be required for different tiers of metals. I haven't decided yet. More fuel sources are planned for the future, but will probably only be used as a way to be more efficient when smelting (last longer than coal)
Having furnaces that are multiple blocks is an interesting idea, I'll think about that

I have some suggestions for this already amazing mod. You can add new mobs, blocks, plants, foods, etc. because whats the point of having a couple hundred of tools when there is no new objects or mobs. There should underground biomes, sedimentary layers. This could even have an ancient civilization such as dwarves, stone people, and maybe a corrupted race of creatures( think of Skyrim). There could be dwarven city, under ground huge cavern, new bosses. Why not make this bigger than the Aether mod. Extend world heights and depths. Make sea level start at 256 out of 512 blocks. If you like my suggestions I can do textures and some minor modding things.

Mobs,Blocks,Plants,Food,Trees, and tons of other things are planned for the mod Not sure about underground biomes. I also do not believe that they are possible without altering the way biomes in general work. Bosses and Dungeons are also planned for the future. I was thinking of increasing the world hight to prevent the ores from being super cramped, but I think making it THAT big would be a bit much. I've got textures covered, and any modding help is up to Tutorialcon. Thanks for the offer
Unfortunatly Tier 4 information will be out tomorrow, not today, as I haven't finished the armor textures yet.
