i have the latest version of forge and only the modual powersuit mod installed without mps and whenever i click or see a icon for this mod it crashes and i get this
*snip*
It looks like you need to update Forge, based on the crash report you're using build 611 (which is the latest "recommended" build) and MPS has been updated to use more recent beta builds.
5. Because it isn't too hard to ask "What did I do wrong" and get the response "You're using the wrong forge." In fact, it would have saved you time.
You guys seem to really like defending your own state of ignorance and/or lack of reading comprehension...I just went and confirmed out of my own curiousity and everything is documented very nicely on her website: http://machinemuse.n.../download.php ...and this is referenced directly in the main post. (There, I fixed it for you!)
I sort of lulzed at the bit where you try to make an argument of entitlement from how you "don't make mods, you USE them"...because that is so very authoritative and persuasive and not whiny at all...and if you really can't be bothered to RTFM, you really SHOULD use a modpack, it will save you many butthurts.
Also no, it really wouldn't save her time to answer, it would just encourage more people to ask additional redundant questions in the future. There's a reason, for example, why Eloraam's website has an "EXCESSIVELY Asked Questions" page, dude...
EDIT: Also, although it does admittedly make for Interesting Times, the fact that MachineMuse has released her mod publicly for other people to use does not make her beholden in any way to act as your tech support, or to be nice to you. If you can't understand that, I'm not sure what else to say to you, other than that you'd likely do better to wander off to kinder waters... /:P
You know MachineMuse is going to tear into you about that, right? There's even a disclaimer on the mod's website stating that no new weapon modules are being accepted (regardless of attempts at flattery). Unless you're willing to make them yourself, they're not getting in.
Oh... I didn't read that but not like I was trying to flatter them either :/
Anyways, why not? Has making weapon modules just been too difficult or are there too many requests?

I am EER's sprite and texture artist! (for the most part...)
One of my favourite features of this thread is watching all those who don't follow the rules get torn to shreds. Especially by Muse.
I've been really pressed for time (accidentally started sleeping an extra four hours, bah) but I think I might have an okay looking rototiller thing going. It's based off the other tool modules, for consistency.
Here are the two variations I've come up with. Var1:Var2:
1. Yep, just like I did, only to come to you wondering what I missed. Unlike you, I am not "super genius number one."
2. Really? You're going ~there~?
3. No, I can really tell that. You also don't intend to be approachable to people who are just talking to you.
4. oh no. i am so hurt. my life is truly over. Grow up, Muse.
5. Because it isn't too hard to ask "What did I do wrong" and get the response "You're using the wrong forge." In fact, it would have saved you time. There's less to type than "Have you considered using a version of forge that is even remotely recent?" You can keep your mod - I have never been so disgusted by the arrogance of one person. I was approachable enough about coming to you for a little bit of help. I don't know what your issue is.
I don't care remotely as much as you seem to think I do. This isn't a debate, you're just throwing a tantrum over someone being rude because you were lazy.
i have the latest version of forge and only the modual powersuit mod installed without mps and whenever i click or see a icon for this mod it crashes and i get this
Hi MachineMuse!!! I have a great idea for a weapon module that you could add for the power tool!!! I think it should be called the Highly Focused Light Emitting Diode (HFLED for short). I wouldn't be used for a light source (since that would require a lot of work to implement) but it would cause maybe a 10 second blinding effect on the mob/player you direct it at and each time you fire it, it uses 1 KJ. It would take maybe an Ion thruster+ maybe a new part you could make called a high-focus lens.
p.s. Your forums avatar is great looking ;P
Hi, thank you for the compliment, this is a terrible suggestion, go away
Oh... I didn't read that but not like I was trying to flatter them either :/

Basically, a lot of 12 year olds think OH MY GOD IT WOULD BE SO COOL IF
without taking into account anything about whether it would actually make sense in the context of Minecraft. That or (like you) they go over and above, trying to design every little aspect of it, without any idea about what goes through my head when designing a module.
Well, good thing you're reasonable. That's more than you can say for most of the people.
Edit: Strange, every time I install a new module, Minecraft crashes, but when I open it again, the game works just fine and the module is installed.
I'm using Forge 676 and the recommended versions, because I thought that was a bug in the newest builds.
