So to start off I love the mod. The guys I play with thought I was up in the night when I suggested adding it (they like their quantum armor). But they are slowly being converted over. We are currently using 0.2.2 build 162 and I focus heavily on Thermal Expansion for my tech base. Love the added static generator for starting off with. However now that I have made it to the point I am adding HV batteries to my armor I am at a loss as how to build up a charge short of running all over the place. I have spend some time searching for a Thermal Expansion option for charging my armor but haven't been able to find anything. Am I just missing something or has there just not been a way implemented yet.
I did see the solar generator module but that requires a heavy GregTech setup to be able to make it. Might we see something revolving around Thermal Expansion in the future like this?
Did you try plugging it in (most of the modules need power) and turning it on (most of the modules have tinker options).

I'm quite stumped at this point. Oh, I accidentally stumbled on it, but holding down shift and using the mouse wheel. I understand now. Hmm, the mod seems to be working fine, except for the fact that none of the power tool weapons show up at all. The plasma cannon and melee assist etc. don't show up on the list at all. I'm currently using the latest version of Voltz, and I've seen others use it successfully. Help?

EDIT: It's probably since it's an outdated version of the mod in Voltz, right? I probably should have thought about that. Hopefully Voltz will update soon if that's the case.

Thanks for mentioning the mouse wheel. I was wondering the same thing.
The multimeter didn't crash me but i only tested it on an unpowered IC wire.
And as a side note, if you have maxed your walk speed and have high step improvement you can "walk" over an empty space and still go up 1 block.

would there be an update that makes you (almost) invincible but whit the cost that you are realy slow. you cannot sprint or fly becuase of the weight this upgrade would add (maybe the trusthers would make you walk a bit faster). but you will be abel to use icbm rockets and railguns. actualy you just became a walking battleship. maybe this idea is just crazy but it would be fun to play whit it in pvp.

NVM, I figured it out. But I have another problem. The problem is that scrolling with a touchpad doesn't change the tool equipped. It would be nice if there was an option to just press a button to have it switch to the next tool.
Crashed when updated.. Playing SSP with MC 1.4.7 and FtB: Direwolf 20 Modpack v 5.1.1 (with a few extra mods added in manually). I had no problems with Modular Powersuits v0.2.0-42 installed, but then I crashed upon loading a saved game after swapping out the older Modular Powersuits version for the current version 0.3.0-178. Perhaps Modular Powersuits 0.3.0-178 and CJB's Mods are not playing nicely together.

I think it would be cool if there was something along the lines of a gravitational compencator, that at the expence of power cancels the weight of the armor.

Solved it!
if you have XACT Crafting Mod installed it also uses Shift To reveal chip's recipes. Changing this keybinding to Something else allows it to work.
With a fully charged 5MJ Power Tool having In-Place Assembler, Blink Drive, Multimeter, and Plasma Cannon installed Right-Clicking Does nothing. Holding Shift and Using the mouse wheel only scrolls to different item in inventory as though shift wasn't held. I've tried multiple mice with no luck. Mainly using a Naga Epic mouse on a mac using the SolitaryCraft pack from ATLauncher. Everything else in this mod works to a T. Amazing Mod! Any ideas?
So i figured out just recently (after playing with the mod for almost a month now) that you can configure the active camoflauge and tranparent armor into a toggleable stealth thingy like in crysis, and i found it quite amusing on my server with my friends. one dissapointment is that you cant make the power tool invisible too, which means that you have to sneak up behind them anyway or else they see you coming. it makes it rather hard to assassinate people with the plasma cannon. two things i would really enjoy seeing in the future are:
-a transparent armor module, but for the power tool.
-something to see invisible players, like the dark visor from metroid prime 2 echoes. this would be to counteract the full invisibility.

Solved it!
if you have XACT Crafting Mod installed it also uses Shift To reveal chip's recipes. Changing this keybinding to Something else allows it to work.
are you sure the server has the same version?
edit: ah
-a transparent armor module, but for the power tool.
-something to see invisible players, like the dark visor from metroid prime 2 echoes. this would be to counteract the full invisibility.
