However, as they are technically unreleased, they are unsupported (i.e.. don't bother reporting issues here). Report issues to github issue tracker -- that is the -only- way I am accepting bug reports for the 1.7.x versions. Also fully copyrighted and all-rights reserved. You may NOT redistribute these releases without explicit permission. You -may- use these for personal testing of the upcoming mod, that is all. Also, the normal alpha/beta disclaimer: I may well change any/all of the systems at any point and break any worlds using the current alpha/beta releases -- so...don't use them aside from testing purposes.
Still working on sorting through some apparent issues, but am working/planning on a release later this week/this weekend. Mostly have a performance issue to track down (think it is actually a Forge bug, but need to verify), and double-checking that all other systems work as intended.
shadowmage, since it's going to be a while until the new vehicle module release.... do you think I could release that vehicle config I sent you, as a patch for the 1.6.4?

Programming was supposed to mean simplicity... then, Mojang showed up.

You are free to distribute it (the configuration file), yes
Its a bit more difficult to patch the values into the actual mod -- I would need to go back and setup a 1.6.4 dev environment, clone the repo...do the whole mcp setup bit. And then spending hours going through and doing the actual changes =\
But distributing the configuration file is probably the easiest way to go about it. Interested users can simply download the file and overwrite the existing one, and should be good to go with the updated values.
--Let me know if you are interested in going about it this way -- I can probably host the file in the repository and provide a download link on the main page and wiki.

ok, I'll either link you or PM you the file during the week.

Nevermind, I managed to push them back through the portal hah
LoL, nice
You should be able to 'Repack' the NPC through his GUI if it happens in the future. This will turn him back into an item, for ease of transport, storage, or to just retire them gracefully. The method to access the GUI is different in the various versions, but should be either right-click, or sneak-right-click.
Finishing up writing the instruction manual / documentation at the moment. The mod code is looking good, and should be ready for public release, but I want to get the instructions written up to release with it. Should preemptively answer most questions. There will not be a wiki available for quite some time, so the instruction manual needs to be capable of being the main go-to source for info.
So...later today or perhaps tomorrow for the initial public release (unless any last minute major bugs are encountered). Still have quite a bit to write up, and then proofreading/editing/formatting -- but the release is getting closer
Please read the instruction manual before posting any questions.
NEI plugin is built-in and should load automatically.
There are currently no structure packs available, though a few should be finished soon.
Vehicle module is not yet included, work will be starting on it shortly.
The current release is fully copyrighted, all-rights-reserved. Redistribution is not allowed -- please refer any interested parties to this page / download links. Will be re-licensed as GPL in the near future, at which point redistribution (read: mod-packs) and modification will be allowed.
This is still a beta release. There are likely still bugs. There might still be a few issues that will need new worlds generated. I make no guarantees regarding stability or data integrity.
Report any issues or bugs only through the GitHub issues tracker. You may post the issues in the thread so that others are aware of them, but I will not see them to fix them unless they are also posted on the GitHub issues tracker. It may be found at: https://github.com/shadowmage45/AncientWarfare2/issues
1.6.4 releases/information is still available on the wiki. The wiki is only relevant to the 1.6.4 versions; refer to the included instruction manual for information on the 1.7.10 releases.
This mod is quite simply amazing. Most people seem to be focused on the war machines but the way you can build a functioning city is mind blowing. I LOVE this soooooo much. WELL DONE
One question;
Do the structures from the structures pack auto generate as the world gens?
It depends entirely on how the pack was configured. Most probably will, though you might see a few packs released intended for survival mode, or some for use in creative mode for map making.
The currently released packs (for 1.6.4) are almost entirely world-gen though. I would expect the same trend with the 1.7.10 packs when they become available.
Thank you so much for working so hard and getting this going my friends and I are really excited.
I was wondering about the research book, When i select recipe mode instead of research view mode and i select for instance "worker" it doesn't show me the recipe but only the research that I need to create the worker. Is there a way to find the recipes?

Release!? I'm speechless. I think I'm being affected by all the silliness going on, sorry. I'm over the moon for this release but at the same time, a part of me is scared insane by pure hypotheticals. It's like I've come here seeking some kind of impossible reassurance and I'm greeted instead by something I've wanted dearly for months. Heh.. Good news? How dare you give us good news?! The world is supposed to be ending, dammit, and instead you go and do something glorious.
As Microsoft has just bought out Mojang I will soon discontinue updating of the mod due to ethical reasons. I will maybe finish adding in the vehicles module and stuff I already have planned/started, but that is it -- I'm done after that. I cannot contribute to a product that puts more money in Microsoft's pocket, even indirectly.
Sorry guys, been fun. I definitely didn't see this one coming (M$ buying out Mojang), and was looking forward to what I could do with the mod in the future. Had some cool ideas to be included in the 1.8 updates. Sadly the greed of a few people will be preventing this.
So -- the mod is now officially seeking new developer(s). If you know Java and would like to pick up development of this mod, please contact me through PM.

Sorry to hear. If I was more experienced with Forge modding I'd be happy to take over; and if Imperium (Minecraft Empires) was more mature I'd ask about having it merged... whether or not someone takes over the project, I wish you the best and hope you create something great again to continue sharing the joy. Maybe try Starbound modding?
If its not sorry, its only for trying on that versión.
