Switches places with you if he takes indirect entity damage (i.e. arrow) - and you take the damage instead

Pro tip : Do not let him into lava

Spawns in his nest (blue cloud found in the sky)
Spawns lightning every so often
Spawns Powered Creepers every so often
Can only be damaged from explosives/punching
When in water (water block/rain), he will spawn lightning and creepers twice as often
Description: I find that I make a world and play it through, and end up beating the ender dragon and building an epic castle. Chests full of enderpearls and gunpowder and bones, and no other goals, and I've spent so much time that I don't want to start a new world, so I'm thinking that after I'm done with the main part of Minecraft I could tear the world apart fighting giant beasts.
So what would happen is when you have the game on hard difficulty there will be an option to "generate beasts". When you press this you will be prompted "are you sure". After that things get fun. Throughout the world will generate various nests and ruins filled with beasts and monsters, each nest having a Queen Beast.
Your goal is to kill them, ofcourse. So you use your abbundance of resources to make new weapons, powerful ones, like the Pearlblade or Bonebow.
These mobs are HUGE and dangerous. Whenever you come close to one their health appears on the top row, like the dragon's. And they don't just stand there, they can walk theough mountains, destroying them.
But fighting huge monsters is hard on your own, so I was thinking that the ability to summon and tame dragons would be awesome.
I could deffinately go into more detail here, with ideas for weapons and beasts and maybe even a furnace-type system to duplicate items (for a cost)
Oh, and seeing as you don't want your base destroyed there could be some kind of redstone-like system which keeps monsters away.
Current Mod Ideas:
Nests" spawn upon world generation - they are structures, most likely not going to be something as complicated as a mine shaft or a stronghold. Most likely they will be predefined/constant. This will allow me to focus more on the mobs and AI aspect of this mod.
Legendary Beasts spawn in their nests and upon spawning a boss bar appears, like that with the Enderdragon. When you kill them, you get an insane loot? -Need more ideas
Legendary Beasts will only spawn when you get close enough to their nests. Not sure exactly what this number should be and/or if it should be somewhat random.
There should be special mobs found within their nests, spawning "naturally"
There will be a way to find these nests, similar to that of the Eye of Ender, but much more efficient. Nests locations are going to be saved with the map data, so it will always be accurate.
There will be a way to reset these nests so that the beast can spawn again. Perhaps a new boss? Or item?
I have no idea what nests should look like. And I'm not sure of new blocks/items, but it's definitely an option. If you have an idea for a structure, feel free to share it

- a Behemoth (practically, something Tarasque-like): a lumbering earthbound lizard thingy, with slow attack that destroys blocks around it (so basically during the fight you drop deeper and deeper into a crater...), and insane amount of hit points
- a Fire Elemental: sets everything it touches on fire, immune to arrows (they just burn to cinders when they hit it), must be defeated by pounding a sword on it or by water, damages player when near it (from intense heat)
- an invisible mob which becomes visible only after it attacks
- a Giga-Slime (Devourer): when defeated, splits into Mega-Slimes, which then split into Giant Slimes, which split into big normal slimes... you catch my drift
- an Ender Lord: a more powerful version of Enderman, switches places with the player when teleporting, more damage, bigger, more health...
From all of those ideas I seem to like the fire elemental (too similar to blazes though? I don't know), the Invisible Mob, and the Ender Lord. Although the Giga-Slime would be crazy - there would be an insane amount of slimes.

I got epic imagination ;] (Right, also up for texturing models i made, who can do it better than the one that modelled it? ^^) Experience:Well, not biggest i guess. But nobody never complained about quality of my models. Previous Works:Pretty much... I think i will spoiler it. Ships&Boats mod - Models & Textures (Textures of boats and few blocks) Extended Workbench - Made Extended Armor, both icons and armor. Vampire Mod - (Not released yet, don't look for it) VIllagers, Vampires and blood texture.
also made model of vampire boss. ShapeShifter mod by Sylaek - Made a werewolf model+texture, but i don't know yet in which update it will come
there were few smaller orders for models / textures that i didn't post here.

See! Just like that, a bug has been fixed! Alpha 1.0.1 has been released, which fixes the multiplayer crash (apparently world.isRemote is not reliable... )

Brotips&Bugs found:
1) EnderLord nest DOESN'T spawn or is RARE AS ****,
2) Sometimes trees and vines appears inside nests.
3) Blazes doesn't spawn inside fire nest as it was in pre-alpha (the screenshot you sent me on PM, blazes in his nest were awesome)
It does spawn. The Fire Nest is more common, but in the end it comes down to what seed you have. Also note that a nest cannot spawn within 300 blocks of another nest. If you want to cheat, after generating a new world, go to your minecraft directory and look at the LegendaryBeasts file. In the future, I will implement a way to find the nearest nest - any ideas of how to do that? By chat? New Eye of Ender like item?
I noticed this but honestly have no idea how to fix it. It appear that some world generation does go on after I generate the nests. I do clear space for the nest, if that's what you were wondering.
I decided that the blazes were OP. lol. Instead of blazes I added in the randomized lava blocks, but if requested, I can add back in the spawners
Efreeti is actually easier than ender dragon... yes... add blazes :S
I didn't make the Fire Demon difficult, honestly. He walks slow and his attack doesn't do much damage. How should I buff him? Moves faster + attack does more damage? Add in 2 blaze spawners?

What did you have in mind for the nest? It's a cube because it was easy to make - I use 3 for loops instead of having to write out ~3000 lines of code. Could you build out a structure for the nest?

So a combination of Frankenstein and an Iron Golem? I'm not sure if I like that idea - I really can't visualize it.
