Overgrown is a mod to add abandoned, modern-style homes, roads and apartments to minecraft. The homes have goody chests inside, so there is an incentive to explore.
This is the initial release; though I am posting this in "WIP" I think it is release candidate quality. I'm not really sure where I want to go in the future with this mod, so I am open to suggestions. If you find any serious bugs, like a crash, please inform me by PM.
seems like a cool idea, so i'm gonna watch this mod. You should also add a "settings.ini." to make it so we can adjust the density, as well as other things like maybe chest spawns \(°_O)/¯
I've been looking for something like this for so long. But one request, you think you could make a medieval version of it? I'm not a big fan of modern looking houses but ill try it out cause I've always wanted this. Ill give feedback when I'm done testing
Just tested it. I don't know if this is what you were going for.. But I Found houses in the ocean, and houses with the roofs sticking out of the ground. The frequency definitely needs to be turned down as well, they are waay too common. and all the buildings seem too.. square.. if you need a builder just send me a PM. I can show you some of my work.
hey, whitelist me on your server i'm the guy your roommate visited the other night. mod is looking pretty cool, i'm a big fan of the idea. only suggestion at this point is to remove netherrack as a building material. it sticks out too much.
(also, on another note. if you made this into a terrain generator mod for bukkit, it would be pretty awesome too.)

I absolutely loved this modpack! The lack of ores and glass and such which can't be interused was disappointing, and ultimately put me off the pack. I keep hoping someday this gets updated, so that copper is copper, whether mekanism or railcraft. Glass, whether made in tinkers or with sand in the old furnace, is one and the same. Also, sunflowers and dark oak were nearly impossible to find in several different spawns.
