Maybe via that fancy energy field like a cooler version of minecarts? Or just a way to finally have a giant hamster ball in Minecraft for everyones enjoyment?
In any case, I need to go get a towel. It's like I'm too strong to use a bow, but have to learn how to use one, and keep sweating on everything.

So is this going to be a future-tech mod? I'm hoping so, because nowadays we have plenty of modern age things going on, as well as alchemy via EqEx and magic with ThaumCraft, but the really futuristic stuff is still missing.
Speaking of TC, any chance those crystals will interact with TC's? This is assuming TC3 will still have crystals, of course.

Your work looks amazing. I have seen a lot of it from Direwolf20's awesome uploads and the various photos you have around. I have also watched some of your twitch streams and have followed you. I look forward to being able to try out your mod. BTW I stole your signature as I love the looks of the truncated icosahedron. It looks awesome in the in-game pictures on your site.

suggestions: 1. make crystals grow by putting them in lava at the bedrock layer(crystals usually forms deep underground where theres a lot of space and heat.
2. a machinegun that shoots crystals(3d model) maybe i should make a drawing of this concept and try to make a model with textures in techne.
should use crystals as ammo and it should shoot crystal shards or lightning.
4. a dark matter reactor(as seen in hl2) that has to be "crafted" outside the crafting bench.
you need to make one block where you can place the dark matter core, and 4 holders that keep the core in place.
i want to hear why moddevs only give youtubers their early alpha/early update mod.
heres an example of a simple setup:

obsidian: reactor pillar blocks! these should be very expensive to make
tnt: core made out of dense materials(obsidian,diamond blocks and DARK crystals)
the 4 pillars around the core shoots laserbeams on the core and extracts the core's energy.
the core will last for 5 IRL hours,but mey explode if you do something wrong...
it has to be powered by another generetor/energy source so it can extract energy,but the reactor will generate 10 times more power .(almost like a fusion reactor)
the core may get unstable and explode if you remove this external powersource.
you need a lot of resources to create a dark matter core,but the positive thing is that the reactor can make IC2 EU,BC MJ,RP Bluetricity and energy for this mod.
edit: btw, if you need a few textures,but cant anyone that has time to make textures,then give me a pm and i'll see what i can do.(i dont make highres textures or block textures)

i really hate that only youtubers get the alpha versions, its kinda unfair and stupid, the all the mod devs could get a lot of feedback and bugreports 24/7 so the mod can get better,but moddevs dont do this.
minecraft was released in the indev/alpha stage and look at it now, its extremely popular! i didnt find minecraft on youtube, i found it on google and it was recommended by my friends.
mojang got a lot of feedback,bugreports and much more and the game is ALMOST bugfree.
its better to have the whole community testing a mod instead of 1-3 players.
and if moddevs think bugs make people mad/sad/angry,then look at the youtubers, they are like us,they enjoy the game even if theres 100 bugs!
they KNOW that its buggy and want to risk their save.

Quartz (Silicon dioxide) can be any color, some of the better known colored quartz are Amethyst(purple), Citrine(yellow) and Tiger's Eye(golden yellow\banded) but the range is from colorless(clear as glass) to almost completely black so the range of colors in this mod is actually a shade low lol
That said can't wait for the release of this mod, I like mods that start out useful but not shattering but take you to "I am like unto a GOD" in a reasonable timeframe(a good example of this is Thaumcraft2) and from what I've seen of this so far looks like it will be ticking that box.
Hello. I was wondering if once the mod (Or at least the Core and Worldgeneration) if I could test this on my Modpack that will be a hosted server soon. I currently have almost all the Mods that Direwolf20 has and a few more. I have already made the server-side files and the client. I also have an installer.jar that will safely and easily install the mods. This pack is 1.3.2 and I was wondering if you could hand me the Xycraft files to test on server and also on single player. Last night I had a thought about the corn situation, so I thought I would share it here.
This would also make use of the extractor machine, as it currently doesn't have that many uses compared to other machines.
Firstly, you would put the corn in the extractor - which would give you flakes (you can probably tell where i'm going with this :P), ie cornflakes ... then on the crafting table, you would place a bowl, the cornflakes and a bucket of milk.
Because this has a few steps and uses a fair few resources, it would give you give you a lot of hunger points.
Also, another idea came to me, that because you use milk in the recipe, milk gives your calcium, therefore, it could give you an added perk of adding 1 "shield"/point to your amour. This would only work if you were actually hungry, to stop people spamming and repairing their amour!
.... By the way - I LOVE cereal <3
One last idea I had, is something different to food.
Similar to wheat, which you use to breed animals, how about adding this ability to corn - but the advantage would be that whenever you click to breed 2 animals, you get a 1 in 50 chance or so to get 2 babies ... or something along that line!
